Cap_Ironman Weekly News, Week Ending 20 May 2012
Welcome to the
cap_ironman/
cap_ironman newsletter! If I know you - and I think I do know you pretty well after that friendmeme - then I bet you're looking for more fandom activities to fill your summer. Look no further; we're running a Cap/Iron Man big bang! Sign-ups, dates, and beta & cheerleader posts can all be found here.
If the big bang isn't your speed, why not sign-up for Virgin (Captain) America, a fest dedicated to answering the question, 'What happens when the Avengers find out Steve is a virgin?'
Remember the Rec Week we had almost two years ago? Yup, it's time for another one! So start digging through your bookmarks and gathering links. I'll post the theme schedule in a few days, and the rec week will start on June 4th.
Remember the Comment Fic Fest we had on DreamWidth last year? We're going to have another one! It will be on the DW comm only, starting on Wednesday May 30th. Start thinking up prompts!
tsukinofaerii has updated her very useful Multiverse Info Post to include canon from the Avengers movie & more appropriate images. Spoilers, obviously.
As always, the comment section of the newsletter is open for any questions, discussion, squee, whatever. Just keep it somewhat safe for work.

Finally, if you're a new or recent member, hello and welcome! Our rules are here, and in the profile; this includes our warnings policy, so please read. Yep! Over on DW, anon commenting will be on although last year a surprising amount of the prompts and fills were unanon. Anyway, no DW account is needed to participate.

Whooo. And starting the same day school inofficially ends for me too.

By school ending do you mean you're graduating? Or just for summer break? Either way, I hope you enjoy your time off! I am much happier now that I'm out of school, but I do sometime miss it. Class time was my most productive fic writing time.

Graduation! So I guess I'm one job interview and accepted university application from crossing the line between being on summer break and unemployed. And thank you; this last term has been incredibly stressful and I have a tedency to not do very well under pressure. So I'm hoping summer will be a better time to be productive for me (and hopefully I'll have something to occupy myself with come Autumn, else I completely slack off and stop writing because of that.)

Congratulations on graduating! And good luck in finding a job and/or a new school. Are you hoping for one over the other? I have friends who are grad students and I'm sometimes jealous of them, but for the most part I much prefer working to being a student. I kinda sucked at being a student. Either way, I hope you get some time to draw this summer!

Thank you! Actually, I'm hoping to do both? Study and work part-time would be pretty ideal if I can make my schedules fit; I like studying, but sadly no one pays me for that. And regardless there should be time to draw and to whatever else the hell I want, since I'm not doing much of anything until september. C:
