Err..this is my attempt at being more social. I'm a plush maker and I've just started to make the Avengers. Thought I'd drop a pic of Steve here. Let me know what you think!
Voodoo Kaylee!doll from Firefly. Don't ask why she was sitting in the car. This was from a series of Firefly dolls I was making- I had River, Kaylee and Wash. I was starting on Simon when I lost his head and I never got around to redoing him.
Oh gosh, it really depends on the type of plush. I've made some in less than 8 hours and other have taken me 48 hours or more.
I make plushes of just about anything! My main focus is fanart. I've made plushes of Pokemon, Transformers, My Little Ponies, movie monsters, and others. I do take commissions sometimes through my dA. I'm hoping to have a couple spots open next month if I can clear my schedule.
Oh my god... that is amazing! If you decide on a price for Avengers plushies, let me know how much because I might need an Iron Man plushy in my life to continue living. :P
I'm impressed! I can not sew at all, and to think a fan sewed this and, as is usually the case with stories created by the fans, it's much better than anything I've seen Marvel produce! Do you have a website showing your plushies and their prices?
I do fancrafts myself, and have look through most of the one posted to dA and yours is definitely the best Steve I've seen. :D Did you do machine embroidery for the details on his face?
I cross stitch, so I'm always amazed by how professional machine embroidery looks (even if a tiny voice in the back of my head wants to say using a machine is cheating XD)- are they difficult to learn how to use?
(And I'm chujo-hime (http://chujo-hime.deviantart.com/) on dA)
Wow, he's beautiful and adorable! You have a real talent!
I saw that someone else asked about pricing - I also am interested to know that information when you decide. And also if other Avengers-movieverse plushies would be available!
Just clicked through to your DA to see your Loki plush. You're really talented! I'm impressed by how expressive Steve and Loki's mouths are. They're just lines, but Steve looks a little stern, while Loki is definitely smirking. The effect is pretty funny in the pic where you posed them together, because Steve looks disapproving. But then when Steve is pictured alone, he looks like maybe he's lonely. Your non-human plushes are adorable, too!

I take commissions sometimes. I'm still trying to decide on prices for Avengers plushies.

What did you use for hair?

I used an extra long pile mongolian shag fur for Steve's hair.
