Stark Tower blueprints.... Is fanon going to be movie canon?

Hey, all. I just saw 'Avengers' again - yay! And I noticed something in one of the final scenes I hadn't the first time around (probably 'cause i was the only one there, whee!). When Tony and Pepper are looking at the Tower blueprints....



When Tony and Pepper are looking at the new/revised blueprints for the Tower, Tony rolls out a sort of interactive blueprint, and fans out six smaller ones inside it. What it *looks* like - and what I didn't see on the first viewing - is that the smaller ones are individual floors for each member of the Avengers. You can clearly see Cap's shield, and what maybe be the curved edged of a bow, a W and a double helix.



Sorry for the poor image quality. It would be so *very* cool if IM3 gave us Stark Tower with Avengers in residence - any thoughts?

I doubt we'll have the Avengers in IM3. From what I understand they are trying to make it so you don't have to watch Iron man to watch avengers and vis versa. It would be cool though to see it in the next Avengers movie. :D

Ah, interesting. But they've *talked* about the Avengers in the IM movies...how odd.

It would be very cool to see it somewhere, that's for sure! :)

Yep, this has been noted on Tumblr (http://notwithoutmycoffee.tumblr.com/post/22510798219/anyone-notice-that-tony-has-plans-to-build-each) already :D Someone also did an in-depth discussion/meta post breaking down each of the Avengers' floors and why Tony would assign each member a specific floor, but I can't find it... Anyway, it's an AWESOME detail and I love that it's canon ♥

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the Avengers are going to be assembled before Avengers 2; Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2 are all going to be focused on the individual characters, apart from the other Avengers for whatever reason.

Considering the 'Stark' emblazoned across Stark Tower ended up as just an 'A' and it got a lingering, significant shot, I think it's pretty safe to say that Stark Tower is going to be Avengers Tower.

I'd be really surprised if it wasn't even *mentioned* in IM3 - one assumes Tony is living there. Maybe they'll sneak in a mention. Thanks for the link!

I'm with Derry in that the big A clued me in, but it's also something of a tradition. Continuities where the Avengers exist but don't use one of Tony's properties as a collective home, or at least a team base, are very much in the minority—so much that I can't think of one. Even in Ults they used the mansion, and in a lot of ways they edge closest of all the comics to movie continuity.

I have zero info on the comics - except for the random scans linked to me by a friend - so yay! Some of the neatest stuff fandom comes up with never happens in canon, and sometimes fun canon things are totally ignored, so an Avengers house is just...awesome. :)

I'm sure IM3 willl mention the Avengers with some awesome (and probably snarky) reference, but my guess is that (besides the international travel going on in the film) Tony will probably head back to Malibu. It's sort of his spot, as Cap will have New York in his movie, ect. Then they can all reconvene in AV2. :)

Tony isn't even supposed to be in America in IM3 as far as I've understood, and they have said he's completely cut off from the other Avengers at an earlier date. Or, technically it was that he couldn't call on Steve or the others to help him, if I'm not mistaking.

As I recall, when Tony and Pepper are looking at a 3-D model of the tower at the end, you can see where he's planning to put the quinjet hangar too.
