Summary: Tony's having an affair with Steve and they feel pretty shitty about it; Loki is sent back to earth to earn forgiveness for his heinous crimes, and it's not going very well. Everyone has a pretty rough time. Mainlining Tony&Steve with some Thor/Loki and Clint/Natasha on the side. Also some Vital Stuff with Pepper and Bruce since they are the only legit nice guys.

As it stands, what I have posted is, generally, the series in its completeness. However, I am in the process of heavily revising it; I got a lot of positive feed back, and I feel like I can make it even better. I'm looking for someone to beta for me. If you are interested, please let me know! The series is about 70k words, but the section I've rewritten so far - Room by Room - has jumped from about 3.5k words to roughly 17k words. So I don't know how long this monster will end up being. It will probably be a lot of work for everyone involved. In addition to the four parts that are out, I have at least one other short story planned and another chaptered sequel that will focus more on Thor and Loki, though Steve and Tony permeate the series throughout, and cause kind of a lot of collateral damage.

I have never had a beta before, and I would super appreciate one. I'd like this fic to be the best it can!

What kind of beta are you looking for?

Content, mostly. I do some weird stuff with grammar sometimes, so if anything jumps out, then I'm all ears.

My main concerns: characterization, continuity, readability. I want them to all be as authentic as possible. I guess reading for the feel of it? Make sure I'm not doing crazy things. :)

That sounds like stuff I can do (and I read your story already and loved it so...). I would be happy to give it a try (though I won't be offended if you decide that I'm really not doing a good job :P) if you want to then!

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I really like it, too. Which is why I want to make it perfect <3 there are a few things I wanted to expand upon, and some stuff to fix. There are some contents/themes that didn't sit with with a lot of readers, and some stuff I didn't handle quite as well as I could have.

I don't have a deadline or timeframe. Room by Room is taking much longer than I anticipate Patiently will take, since it's basically setting up the series. But I'm almost done with it, and when I start Patiently, I imagine I'll have a new chapter ready for beta every week. I received a lot of excellent commentary/criticism, so once I address the things people brought up, I feel like I'll need a second set of eyes to make sure I'm not, you know. Nuts. Doing nutty things. I dunno.

I also need to revise two more short stories in this series.

I want to get everything squared away and at its best before I continue the series.

SPAG if something jumps out at you, but mostly content and readability. Characterization, etc. Making sure my metaphors aren't out of control.

...And hooray! I'm honored <3 One of the things I'm going to fix about Patiently is the title. Originally it was only supposed to be about three chapters, and it just... grew out of control. I hadn't seen the ending from the beginning. Another reason I seriously need to revise. I'm hesitant to do that, but the title is not worthy of the story. It's part of the Like a Stone song lyrics, but no one knows that just by looking and it's a stupid word and I did a bad job! Ahahahahaha~

This made me smile. I don't necessarily entirely agree with it, but it still made me smile.
