Marvel Heroes
I saw this game mentioned briefly in one of the newsletters. Information on it is slowly coming out (including a projected spring 2013 release date), so I thought I'd do a rundown for the curious.

Marvel Heroes is being billed as an action RPG (think Diablo/Torchlight/Path of Exile) with MMO elements. In other words, it's going to be a multi-player click fest where dispatching waves of monsters and collecting loot is a large aspect of gameplay. Not surprising is the comparison to Diablo, since D1 and D2 creator David Brevik is at the helm. Marvel's Bendis is chief writer, and the plot is said to center around Dr Doom and the Cosmic Cube.
A game FAQ can be found on the developer's site, but to sum up:
-Currently in closed beta.
-Will be free to install and play (though players will be encouraged to purchase additional heroes/costumes/boosts, gotta make money somewhere).
-PC only at launch, Mac client to follow.
-Net connection required, no offline mode.
-I couldn't find region info, but Gazillion's first game for Marvel had separate European and North American servers. I'd expect a similar set-up, depending on size of player base.
-Heroes available to play at start will be Daredevil, Storm, Thing, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye. They've said that all heroes and most costumes can be found in game at no cost as loot drops. (But they're sure hoping that impatient players will pre-purchase their favorites.)
-Check the ridiculously expensive ultimate pack to see all heroes and costumes that are presently planned.
-Hell yes they have the Commander Rogers outfit.
-There's a plan to accommodate larger groups of players, so it should be possible to see, say, a twenty Iron Man cooperative smackdown.
-Additional content to be added after launch.
I really enjoyed Ultimate Alliance and the first two Diablos (we do not speak of D3), so I've got my fingers crossed for Heroes.
