Beta List
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away this comm had a list of people who were willing to serve as betas for other authors! I would like to revive this list.
What is a beta?
A beta (reader) is rather like an editor. You can send them your fic when it is still in the rough stages, and they will go through it and edit, give feedback and suggestions and give a second opinion on your fic. Betas are not required for you to post fic in this comm, but they can be really helpful.
So if you would like to be a beta please reply to this post with the following format.

Universes you're familiar with: (i.e. 616, MCU, Ultimates)
What you're really good at: (i.e. characterization, grammar/spelling
What you WILL beta: You only have to fill out this one or the next one. If you will only beta fics of a specific type or two say so here. (i.e. will beta fluff, up to an R rating, and less than 8,000 words.)
What you WON'T beta: You only have to fill out this one or the last one. If you'll pretty much beta anything with a few exceptions say so here. (i.e. won't beta non-con or character death)
Contact preference: (i.e. PM, email, IM, carrier pigeons, etc.)
If you want an example, the first comment should be my filled out form.
What I'm looking to do is to compile and ever growing list, (perhaps also host it on Google Docs) that one can peruse when they want a beta.
If you are looking for someone to beta your story, feel free to contact anyone who fits your needs! If no one does, you can also post a request as a reply on this post.

Universes you're familiar with: MCU only unfortunately, but I am willing to do research as necessary if you need me to have knowledge of a different 'verse.
What you're really good at: Writing and story mechanics (Basically grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, story flow, characterization, etc.) Pretty much anything you need to make a good story, I can do.
What you WILL beta: I have no limits on what I will beta save for the one or two things listed below. I will, however, request that fics over 20K be sent for betaing in smaller chunks, like a single chapter at a time, so I'm not overwhelmed. If you have a one-shot over 20K that you don't want to split up, then go ahead and send it on. It'll just take me a little longer to beta it than a shorter fic. Rest assured, I am more than willing to beta fics of any and all lengths, the longer the better, and any and all ratings.
What you WON'T beta: I will absolutely not beta non-con, major character death, or m-preg/pregnancy fics. Dub-con is usually not a problem depending on how it's characterized. You might check with me first if you plan to have this in your story and I'll let you know if it's something I would be willing to beta, though chances are I'll still accept. Genderbending is also something I don't usually beta, but I have been known to make exceptions on this one so you're welcome to take the chance and ask me if you like.

Universe of fic: MCU mainly but I do know some of 616, very tiny bit of ultimates but not really enough to help anyone out on information
What you want help with:general writing, ideas, POV issues (pet peeve here so be warned), grammar, tense issues, typos, continuity

I will beta just about anything else, though I am not really interested in femslash. I prefer to beta stories with plot and not just PWP. Love angst, hurt/comfort, emotional issues. Best pairing Stony, but can do others, though not as familiar with the dynamic

What you're really good at: Characterization, Flow, Story Structure, Grammar, etc. Essentially, I work best as a person who you can bounce ideas off of.
What you WILL beta: Most things, but I would prefer story chunks to be 10k or less so I can really focus. Anything longer than that at one point of time, and I might end up taking too long to get back to you.
What you WON'T beta: I will beta anything with the exception of a few kinks that I won't touch (though you might want to ask first), and unfortunately, no m-preg.
Contact preference: PM me for my e-mail, though I'm also on AIM/Google Talk often, so instant messaging is one of the better ways to get a hold of me. Plus, if it's something less than 2k, I can get back to you much faster that way.
