Cap 2 reaction and squee post

Seen Winter Soldier? Want to talk about it? This is the place! We ask that you contain all movie discussion to the comments of this post. Spoilers are of course welcome, so if you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiled, proceed at your own risk.

- Fury's car chase. Man, his pimped up Fury-mobile (in theory) was all kinds of awesome, and he drove like that with a broken arm. Bad. Ass.
- Steve visiting Peggy. Broke my heart. Steve, you sweet, wonderful, goober. "My best girl still owes me a dance." *heartface*
- I want to know which guy Peggy ended up marrying! I want
- Falcon was perfection. I loved every scene he was in. The whole "I do whatever he does, only slower" was the actual best. I love that they addressed PTSD through him, and dealt with it respectfully. I love that he thought bringing Captain America to his place of business would convince a girl to like HIM. :D
- Black Widow and Maria Hill. Bad ass ladies being bad-ass! When that posh British World Security Council lady started kicking butt, I was thrilled! It was almost a let-down that it was Natasha, but then again, of course it was. :) I loved that Hill got a bit more screen time. I loved that Natasha wasn't reduced to a love interest, and we got to see her grappling with the morality of the spy business.
- I really enjoyed Robert Redford. He came out of hiding, lent his big name to a "silly" franchise, and played the bad guy. I was really surprised. I thought it was a genius move.
- I was heartbroken that they'd use Sitwell like this. Only the really hardcore fans knew about him, and he was out before he hardly got in the door. Boo. It could've been anyone but him.
Argh, so many things and I still think I've left out something even more amazing and important. I loved the whole thing, start to finish.

Hah! Me, too! I was all on board with some Helen Mirren RED-style action.
I was heartbroken that they'd use Sitwell like this.
Yes, again. When I came out of the theatre I wailed, "Sitweeeeeell!" D:

Robert Redford was an absolute delight and it was such a great role for him. I remember him best in his spy and political intrigue films. Just not used to him being the baddie.

I have a nefarious plan to sneak A River Runs Through It and Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid into our BlueRay sometimes in the immediate future... (I tend to avoid political thrillers and war movies, unless I have significant reason to check them out. And by "significant," I'm pretty sure you know what I mean.)
