I loved the Tony and Bruce meeting too and also that Bruce was the one who called the rest finally.
I was still happy with what the movie did with the both of them, showing us very clearly where they are at and what they think about each other, all of which made sense to me.
Yes. I was sad that they didn't at least get an interrupted phone call, because I think Steve going "Tony? Tony??? Tony?!!!" without getting an answer would have killed me. But I think that despite them not talking the film managed to show where they are with each other. I think I liked what we got better than I would have a rushed reconciliation that just ignores all of their issues and then jumps over what happened in CW completely.
I was pretty thrown, in a good way, by both the "defender" comment and the "home" from Steve, I would not have expected that. And while I'm not usually fond of "interrupted right before a character can do/say the important thing" plot devices, I also felt like there wasn't time and space for a reconciliation in this movie.
True. It was so packed and with the big cast there wasn't much time to do it justice.
I'm glad who wasn't the only one the small bits we got resonated with. XD
