Summary: In an attempt at tearing the Avengers apart, Doctor Doom sends Tony back in time and forces him to relive the superhero Civil War. When Steve finds him one night in the rain, they finally have the chance to talk about everything that happened between them. But regaining all those memories has driven Tony to the breaking point, and it might just be too late for a second chance.
Comment: Physical and emotional h/c doubling as a CW-Fix-It? Count me in. One of the first 616-fics I ever read and I still occasionally go and re-read if I'm in need of h/c.
Threshold Potential by Veldeia (AA, 4782 words)
Summary: Tony finds out the hard way that some of the most dangerous creatures in the Savage Land are not enormous and scaly. Bingo fill for the prompt “locked in”.
Comment: A lovely little AA scenario where Tony can't move or talk and Steve has to breath for him. Nice internal Tony voice.
Chasing the Shadows Away by Sineala (616, 1351 words)
Summary: Steve wants to help Tony, but it's a long time before either of them are ready.
Comment: Emotional h/c that deals with Tony's alcoholism and his ability to hold the darkness at bay (or not).
Art by Rin (MCU)
Comment: Awww. Really like Steve's pained expression here and how they gradually sink into the hug.
Art by Kaciart (MCU)
Comment: Post-IW comfort hug. Their positions in this are fascinating - Steve holding himself up on his thighs and enveloping Tony so that you can't even see Tony's face anymore.
Art by Ep (616?)
Summary: Tony laying his hand on the window and blinking back his tears and Steve standing behind Tony and hugging.
Comment: I love the muted greyscale of this, the only light coming from outside, and the quiet comfort in Steve's hug.

And I love the artwork. Wow, you are so right with your comments - like the first one with Tony sinking in Steve's arms, and Steve's pained expression. Some people are so talented!!
