It was, wasn't it? I did not expect their scenes with each other to be this central or satisfying, given how some of the previous movies went.

Not even ten minutes in (or something like that) and I already couldn't believe my eyes when it was Steve who rushed towards Tony first and supported him when he exited the spaceship. They really did that! Not what I expected.

Next thing was the resolution to Civil War and they somehow nailed it for me? All of Tony's hurt and "you weren't there!!" before he collapses, aw. And I'd almost forgotten about the shield, so when Tony pulled it out of the trunk later, it was just perfect. Steve finally starting to smile when he realizes that Tony is actually back and going to help! Tony trying to downplay his decision. And kind of failing, because he got rather emotional there for a minute or two, because he doesn't want to be bitter anymore, damn it.

Not to mention the "Do you trust me?" - "I do." moment, which was right there in front of my eyes and just as great as advertised. And I loved that before that, they almost read each others minds, because Scott sure didn't understand a word of what was going on.

But we also got stuff like Tony's reaction to Cap's Speech Before Battle, which was such a happy "how are you even real?" grin. Or Tony commenting on Steve's ass apropos exactly nothing. Just because he's looking at it. I mean. Not only did they do the emotional stuff, they did the fun stuff, too.

I do have quibbles with this movie and needed a moment after the ending to get some perspective, but the Steve/Tony scenes were just great.

Just watched it. It was a good ending for my MCU Steve and Tony.
It was in character for the MCU verse.
Tomorrow I'll be back with comments, but... it is very late and I have the GoT song from the last episode (Jenny's song by Podrick) in my mind for cap and I'll try to sleep. Kisses 💕

I loved this and didn't. It had issues and plot holes. BUT...I loved the interactions between Steve and Tony. It was a good conclusion to Civil War. It made me crave Steve/Tony fic though!

Anyone else gonna go ahead and pretend that wedding ring at the end was his and Tony’s and that after returning the stones Steve went and found Tony and they lived happily ever after?

Either way I was very pleased with the Steve/Tony moments in Endgame!

Yes, definitely. Though given Morgan (I know she wouldn't have existed at the time), I'm also very happy to imagine a 3-way with Pepper.

I just watched a murder

Stony and Winterfalcon murdered every other ship (which I will not name here) and I feel vindicated.

All said, I really did love this movie. It's like the Russos knew it was my birthday and gave me as much as they could.

I loved the movie. It did have some plot holes though.

There's something in me saying that most of Steve/Tony scenes were inspired by the MANY Avengers fics especially the Steve/tony ones. Proof??? The ass comment

I saw it yesterday, and it took me so long to process my feelings! I'm absolutely gutted about Tony, but I get it. Same about Nat (even though I wish it was Hawkeye that went over, I knew they'd never do that to the wife-and-kids guy—the only female original Avenger, though?! Grrr).

I feel bittersweet about Cap, but I like that they gave Steve happiness. (It’s a shallow characterization, though. Really, Steve hasn't grown and changed in the last decade? He can just go backwards from the 21st century to the ‘40s?) I love that FalconCap happened. Bucky&Steve got short shrift, though.

I love that Rhodey felt completely a part of the Avengers for the first time, to me, and that his friendship with Tony was really prioritized. I feel so bad for Bruce, who’s lost Tony and Nat, and Thor has faffed off. He has Valkyrie left? Peter and Tony wrecked me in IW, and they wrecked me again, here. Who is going to make Peter's suits, now, Shuri?

I haven't been a fan of Tony/Pepper because I feel like she never wanted him to be him. This was the first time I really saw her pushing him to be who he was, even if it wasn't her preference. Morgan and Morgan&Tony were unbelievably adorable. I felt like, at the end, there was a hint of future Happy/Pepper?

Regardless of the ending, so much fantastic Stony! Their seamless partnership traveling to the past was everything. Everything! And the ass comment. Oh! My! God! ❤️❤️❤️

Saw it last night, so currently sad/emotional and tired so I need to process my feels about it still.

Super sad. :( I never cry with movies, but I've shed a lot of tears over this one, primarily because of Tony. He's always been my favorite Avenger and it breaks my heart that the only way they let him rest is because he's dead. It was an amazing character arc but not necessarily the one I wanted for him. (But, gosh, that scene with him and the infinity stones was one of the ones I WANTED to see.)

I'm disappointed with Steve's arc as well, especially the ending. I loved that he was finally worthy of being able to lift and use Thor's hammer, but the ending? It was disappointing. Steve had relationships in the present day but chose to go back and not move forward. They've literally had him stuck in the past for his entire character arc.

But all the Steve/Tony scenes! I couldn't help but think that Chris Evans was playing Steve as being super, super fond of Tony (maybe even pining?) and RDJ certainly went all out in his portrayal of Tony's admiration of Steve. Also that entire conversation about Steve's ass and Steve capping it with his own comment.

Overall, I did think the movie was good. But I got a pretty strange vibe from it that I didn't get from the other movies which makes it difficult for me to say I love it. I think I liked Infinity War more, even though that movie gets me salty at points...
