Summary: A what-if retelling of the early Avengers story if the land mine that changed Tony’s life had gone off just two degrees higher... and damaged a lot more than just his heart.
Notes: Told as a series of snapshots. Mostly based on 1960s Avengers comics canon, but I stole the idea of Rhodey being Tony's military liaison from the movie, and made him a Marine officer instead of an Air Force officer.
