So back in last year's Fairy Tale challenge, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] elspethdixon wrote a fantastic story called "The Snow Queen." She was kind enough to let me illustrate the story! <3<3

Title: The Snow Queen (1/7)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] elspethdixon // Artist:: [livejournal.com profile] objectivelyp1nk
Rating: G
Pairings: Steve/Tony, plus other canon couples.
Note: The characters depicted herein belong to Stan Lee and Marvel comics. The story and some of the prose is taken from Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen."
Elspeth's Summary: For [livejournal.com profile] pandanoai's fairytale challenge. Retelling (based very, very heavily on the original) of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen. Because [livejournal.com profile] cygna_hime has kindly allowed me to share her prompt.
My Summary: Steve goes on an epic quest to find his BFF.

It's that time of week again! I hope you're all having fun.

I've seen a few people remark on their frequent posting; we do actually have a spamming and abuse policy. No one's been violating it (so keep posting, guys!) but if you're unsure, check it out. Also, we're pretty sure we used to have a "scan posts must be locked" rule, but then we couldn't find it written anywhere. So we've added the rule to the profile page, and please adhere to it from now on. Again, no one's done anything wrong, and posting some scans to squee over/promote a comic/make a canon query is absolutely fine, we're just making sure the rules are clear. You are an awesomely well-behaved comm in general, and we the mods are grateful to you. :)

In comics news, you can now buy yourself a first-model arc reactor to sit on your desk! At $150, it's pricey, but looks pretty cool. There's a big preview of several Siege comics here featuring Nick Fury in a pretty stylin' jetpack. And over at io9 there's an entertaining nerd argument about whether the shared universe of the Avengers will confuse movie-goers. I for one think a movie-goer who cannot grasp the shared-universe concept will probably find the bright lights and movement suficiently amusing, but hey.

Finally, if you're a new or recent member, hello and welcome! Our rules are here, and in the profile; this includes our warnings policy, so please read. If you're interested in the ship, you may want to read the Ship Manifesto, and consult the list of Slashy Moments. If you're planning to write for the comm, there are some tips on writing the pairing here, and the Avengers in general here; if you're having trouble finding a beta, or would like to offer your services as a beta, our beta list is here. If you're looking for the comm archive, it's Tales of Suspense, and it's automated - you can create an account and upload your fic. if you have any questions, you can comment here or PM a mod, that's me, [livejournal.com profile] muccamukk, or [livejournal.com profile] garrideb.
