Weekly chat time!

It's time for the weekly chat! Authors and artists both are still very busy working away at Big Bangs, which will begin posting next month and now sign-up people are also waiting for their Holiday Exchange assignments and may want to share their excitement. We got the dramatic last issue of the Secret Wars tie in Civil War and some of us are excited about the Invincible Iron Man #2 preview! Whether you want to come talk about your projects, share fanworks you want to rec, or just chat about Steve and Tony, this is the place for it. And remember, as always, lurkers are welcome.

Next chat is planned for Saturday, October 24th. Don't forget that you can log into the irc channel at any point during the week. Normally, there will be other people around.

As a reminder we have a channel #cap-im-spoilers for conversations about new tv episodes, comic book issues and other spoilers. Invincible Iron Man #1 just came out this week, so I'll definitely be in there later today to discuss it! If you join the spoilers channel and no one's currently there, just stop by the regular channel and let people know you want to talk about spoilers. :) To get to this channel use the same method you would for #cap-im but type #cap-im-spoilers instead; alternatively, once you are connected to IRC, type '/join #cap-im-spoilers' in the command line.

Official Comm news:

We had another exciting month here at cap_ironman! Our very first Tiny Reverse Bang wrapped up this month with its final rounds! We thank all artists and writers for playing and making this event a success!

Artists finally had the opportunity to claim Big Bang stories and join in on the fun and flailing. We have some wonderful stories coming! You can still go and give your support in the weekly Support and Chatter posts. We are close to the Date Claiming phase of the Big Bang, so everyone who is participating should keep an eye out. Posting will start on November 1st.

Also, we kicked of the Cap-Ironman Holiday Exchange! Sign-Ups have closed now and matching is happening! Keep an eye on your inboxes. Assignments are expected to go out by October 21st.

Marvel news:

Marvel is still busy shaking up their universes. While Secret Wars hasn't wrapped up yet All-New, All-Different Marvel is slowly kicking off. The comm has already been busy discussing Invincible Iron Man #1 and the preview for #2 is out, as the issue will come put in a few days. Avengers #0 did not give us much in the way of Steve/Tony interaction, but Steve mentioned Tony in a way that implies that in the All-New, All-Different Marvel world he and Tony are talking - and not right out hating each other's guta. And let's be honest? We'll take that!

The Secret Wars tie in Civil War was dramatically concluded with room for lots of complicated Steve/Tony feels. the preview for the concluding issue of 1872 that will come out next week is out, too.

And in Captain America: White Steve's origins are revisited - including his first meting and joining of the Avengers - which is also his first time meeting Iron Man.
