It is time for the unveiling of gifts! Each day, between December 26th to January 1st, we will be revealing the gifts created by participants of the 2015 Cap-Ironman Holiday Exchange. After the last gifts are posted on the 1st, there will be a short window during which you can try to guess at the creators’ identities, and then, on January 3rd, we will reveal all of the authors and artists who participated this year.
Here are today’s gifts!
Not the Only Living Boy in New York for kahn (MCU, 24,901 Word Count)
Everyone has a number of names written on their bodies from birth. Steve has three: Margaret Carter, James Barnes and Anthony Stark. After Steve loses two of his soulmates he's not ready to meet his third. If wishes were horses huh?
Includes texting, movie watching a solid amount of pining and a little kicking HYDRA's butt.
Finding Warmth in the Darkness for Veldeia (MCU, 8,772 Word Count)
When Tony and Steve are stranded on a snow covered mountain they have to find shelter in a cave. Tony is not the only one deeply affected by that.
The Potential of You and Me for parkhachi (MCU AU, 4,121 Word Count)
Where Steve's new neighbor is an asshole who likes to play rock music full blast at two in the morning.
Heart Strings for Sineala (616, 1,992 Word Count)
A mission goes sideways, and Steve and Tony have a lot to talk about.
Luminescence for Moonlite_Knight (MCU AU, Art)
[Tony gestured manically, explaining his new arithmancy theory and how it would revolutionise the wizarding world. Light from the setting sun set his hair aflame, turning him into a golden god, and as they passed through the courtyard Steve was hit with one overwhelming thought: I'm in love with him.
A Hogwarts AU drawing for Moonlite_Knight!
Two Photographs for Lampsprite (MCU, 6,244 Word Count)
Peggy Carter gives good advice. It's not nice advice, nor is it pleasant - but it is good.
An Empty Bottle and a Gun for Kiyaar (616 & 1872, 11,240 Word Count)
Steve Rogers finds himself with an unexpected traveling companion, and a good deal of unexpected trouble, on his way to a new life in Timely.
The first 10th Date for dapperanachronism (MCU, 1,547 Word Count)
Tony thinks he screwed up his first date with Steve.
Steve thinks that was definitely not their first date
Humbugs and Heat for AngeNoir (AU, 17,583 Word Count)
Tony's hurt, and there's only one place Jarvis knows he'll be safe. At least they have met the man, or this would be exceedingly awkward.
(It's not awkward, Steve would never make this awkward.)
To check out all of this year’s gifts (so far!), head over to the 2015 Captain America/Iron Man Holiday Exchange. Want more? Look at all the past entries by using the Holiday Exchange tag on the Cap-Ironman LiveJournal Community. On Ao3 you can view the 2013, 2014 and 2015 exchange entries in the Captain America/Ironman Holiday Exchange Collection.
When your gift is revealed, please be sure to thank your gifter!
If you’re the creator of a gift that’s been revealed, you can comment back to anyone who comments on your work and it will show up as “Anonymous Author” until the creator names are revealed on the 3rd, so please feel free to comment as much as you like.
We’ll be announcing all the gifts for today on Tumblr as well as here, if you would like to reblog it.
Finally, you may want to change the publication date of your work to today’s date, to help it show up in the Ao3 listings for recent works. AO3’s guide is available here and there is a more detailed guide on how to do so here.
Thanks,
Salma, Tea, and Teyke
