It is time for the unveiling of gifts! Each day, between December 26th to January 1st, we will be revealing the gifts created by participants of the 2015 Cap-Ironman Holiday Exchange. After the last gifts are posted on the 1st, there will be a short window during which you can try to guess at the creators’ identities, and then, on January 3rd, we will reveal all of the authors and artists who participated this year.

Here are today’s gifts!

Running out of Time for MountainRose (MCU, 18,230 Word Count)
Prompt: After the events of IM 1, Tony joins the expedition searching for Captain America as a holiday to get away from all the media speculation and stock value crash hate he was getting from the board. He's testing out new kit, working up a new portfolio of technology to boost the company back up, when he finds a plane wreck, buried halfway under the Greenland icesheet.

That just about covers the first 745 words of this fic.

The Drink Takes You for Captain_Al (616, 2,601 Word Count)
Instead of injecting himself with Extremis, Tony is turned into a vampire against his will.

Christmas Holiday for Teyke (MCU, 19,149 Word Count)
It's a Christmas wedding, and a Christmas honeymoon. Even if it's a little more complicated than that.

Get me through December for Arukou (MCU, 4,659 Word Count)
Steve is in Washington. Tony is in New York. Somehow, they still manage to make a connection, which comes in handy when Steve gets depressed around Christmas.

The (New) New Avengers for nightwalker (EMH, Comic)
Marvel Adventures, EMH or Avengers Assemble: Slight AU where Steve is assembling a new team of Avengers and he carefully selects each hero to recruit but when he announces the team he doesn't mention Tony or Iron Man at all. Tony is crushed and mortified (And a little mad, maybe because he always thought he and Steve worked really well together and this feel like a slap out of nowhere). And Steve is kind of clueless because he just automatically assumed that Tony was going to be part of his team and it never occurred to him that anyone would think otherwise. I'd like Tony being quietly stoic with Steve and the Avengers, even if he's really hurting. And I'd really like it if the Avengers were pretty much on the same page as Steve, so no one realizes where the misunderstanding came from, and when they realize it Steve rushes to reassure him.

EMH + bonus Rhodey! It's supposed to take place after the season 2 finale but it's not that important to understand what's going on.

With a Little Help for Lets_call_me_Lily (MCU, 2,728 Word Count)
Steve gets a visitor after his encounter with the Winter Soldier and the fall of the helicarriers.

Kindling for magicasen (616, 3,838 Word Count)
Steve's fury burned out a long time ago, leaving hollowness behind. But Tony's always excelled at making him feel something.

Fool's Gold for Mizzy (616, 6,132 Word Count)
Instead of beating Tony into a coma, Norman Osborn brings him back to New York as bait for a newly reawakened Steve Rogers.

To check out all of this year’s gifts (so far!), head over to the 2015 Captain America/Iron Man Holiday Exchange. Want more? Look at all the past entries by using the Holiday Exchange tag on the Cap-Ironman LiveJournal Community. On Ao3 you can view the 2013, 2014 and 2015 exchange entries in the Captain America/Ironman Holiday Exchange Collection.

When your gift is revealed, please be sure to thank your gifter!

If you’re the creator of a gift that’s been revealed, you can comment back to anyone who comments on your work and it will show up as “Anonymous Author” until the creator names are revealed on the 3rd, so please feel free to comment as much as you like.

We’ll be announcing all the gifts for today on Tumblr as well as here, if you would like to reblog it.

Finally, you may want to change the publication date of your work to today’s date, to help it show up in the Ao3 listings for recent works. AO3’s guide is available here and there is a more detailed guide on how to do so here.

Thanks,

Salma, Tea, and Teyke
