Official Comm News:

Our brand new Remix event appears to have been a success! Navaan and capneverever did a fantastic job organizing everything and encouraging the participants, and it's paid off with a wealth of fic for all of us to enjoy. If you haven't checked it out already, or want to catch up with the works you missed (there are 49 works total!) you can see them all in the creator reveals post here. There's also a Post-Reveals Discussion post if you want to join the conversation about the event.

The writing portion of the Reverse Bang is off to a great start this year with 41 artists and 56 authors for a total of 62 teams signed up for the challenge! Stay tuned for support and chatter posts over on the big bang journal (the latest is here!) , upcoming inspiration posts and official event check-ins. If you are a participant and you haven't heard back from your partner by now, please let the mods know ASAP so that we can try to contact them for you! You can email them at cap.im.events@gmail.com. Also, be sure to keep the mods updated in case of drop-outs or extensions going forward. We hope everyone will be able to complete the challenge but we do understand that life intervenes sometimes.

The new round of STONY Bingo is ongoing through July 31. If you have completed a line and want a new card, or if you want to see what all the fuss is about, please comment on this post.

If you didn't know, the comm has a Fanlore page, with additional pages for our events. They're a little incomplete at the moment, but if you have a chance to take a look at them and add anything you think people need to know about our community, feel free!

Housekeeping:

Chat Courtesy: Don't be a Dick

We've noticed an increase in insensitive or potentially inflammatory discussions in the community chat and would like to remind everyone to be considerate of others in the channel. If someone expresses discomfort about a topic, especially if you know that topic is a common squick, please stop talking about it in the main chat. You are welcome to invite anyone interested into a private channel to continue the conversation, but we want the main chat to be welcoming to all members of our community. Similarly, please refrain from tearing down or casting aspersion on any of the creators in our community, even if you know that they are not in the channel. Aside from the fact that you never know who might be operating under multiple screennames, or who might be friends with a given creator, we ascribe to the general understanding that these behaviors are incredibly rude in fandom. This is a community for mutual support and encouragement in our love of Steve and Tony, and we want the chat to reflect that.

It’s time for the weekly chat!
RBB claims have happened, but the genreal excitement is still there! The sign-ups fot the Marvel is Marvel exchange are still open for two days, they close on March 8th. You can find the exchange here.

Whether you want to come talk about your projects, share fanworks you want to rec, or just chat about Steve and Tony, this is the place for it. And remember, as always, lurkers are welcome.
Next chat is planned for Saturday, March 12th. Don’t forget that you can log into the irc channel at any point during the week. Normally, there will be other people around.
As a reminder we have a channel #cap-im-spoilers for conversations about new tv episodes, comic book issues and other spoilers. If no one is currently in there, just stop by the regular channel and let people know you want to talk about spoilers. :) To get to this channel use the same method you would for #cap-im but type #cap-im-spoilers instead; alternatively, once you are connected to IRC, type ’/join #cap-im-spoilers’ in the command line.
New to the chat? Learn how to connect in this post.
