We’ve had lots of stuff happening these past few weeks!
runningondreams has stepped down as community mod. Thanks for all these months together!
Big Bang is in full roll—writers are polishing up their fics, and artists are arting. Date claims are coming at the end of October, and then finally the time we’re all waiting for: posting in November! There’s a list of beta readers if you need one, and you can always come discuss your progress at the comm IRC channel.
The Tiny Reverse Bang 2016 has finished, and the master round-up is available here with lots of awesome art and great fics. Thank you to all the participants!
Finally, the Cap-IM Holiday Exchange 2016 sign-ups are now open. All the relevant information is in the extended FAQ post on livejournal and the collection page on AO3.
This year in addition to the main Holiday Exchange event, we’ll also do Community Gifts. More information is available here, and you can send your prompts through Google Form at this address. The more the merrier!
A reminder to everyone that we do Comics Wednesday Discussion posts when new comics are released each Wednesday (or Thursday, depending on where in the world you live). Everyone is welcome to participate in these discussions; we keep commenting open so that you do not need a LJ account to comment on these posts.
We also have a community on imzy where you can discuss anything you wish to. If you need an imzy invitation, let us know!
Marvel News:
Both Invincible Iron Man and International Iron Man runs have finished now, at 14 and 7 issues respectively. The titles will pick up in the next weeks, but Tony will no longer be the lead in them—Riri Williams takes over Invincible as Ironheart, and Victor von Doom will lead Infamous Iron Man. We don’t yet know what exactly it means for Tony—we’re all awaiting the ending of Civil War II (Civil War II #8 is scheduled for 28th December). More news about Ironheart is available here—with Tony’s fate to come touched upon.
Marvel posted previews for Captain America: Steve Rogers #7 and solicitations for January 2017, including those for Captain America: Steve Rogers #9 and #10.
The third season of Avengers Assemble is at 19 episodes now, and the last one, “The House of Zemo”, featured skinny Steve!
On the MCU side, Luke Cage has premiered on Netflix, and Doctor Strange will be released at the end of October in cinemas.
We’ve changed the way we’re handling newsletters, and the fanworks round-up is available in its own post, here (for the month of September). The next round-up will be posted soon, keep an eye out for it!
