2016 Holiday Exchange Community Prompts AO3 Posting Guide

If you made a fill for the 2016 Holiday Exchange: Community Prompts, first of all--that's awesome, thank you!

If you want your gift to be included in the HE 2016 Collection, you have to post it to AO3. Here are the detailed instructions.

You have to post new work as usual.


Fill in your tags and preface as usual. Please include the prompt you're writing for in your author's notes (at the beginning, or, if you're afraid about spoiling the work, at the end).



In the Associations part of the posting form, please mark that you're posting your work to the 2016 Captain America/Iron Man Holiday Exchange Collection (note: if AO3 does not want to autofill the collection name for you, please write Cap_Ironman_Holiday_Exchange_2016 and follow it by a comma immediately).



In the "Gift this work to" section, please write in Cap Iron Man Community.



Then fill in the work body, click post as usual, and you're done!

Another option to post your work to the 2016 Exchange collection is to open the Collection page and click the Post to Collection button.


It should lead you to the Post new page for the Collection, please proceed as indicated above.

When you're done, your work should look something like this:



Please note that before the reveals, the work will be listed as Anonymous. Don’t worry about it! It means everything’s right.

This monthly roundup is for all fanwork people felt like sharing with us. Our events will additionally have their own masterlist and you can find those listed here, along with more rec lists. To have your Steve/Tony works included in the roundups they need to be posted to one of our community spaces on Livejournal or Imzy. Fanworks will only be listed once even if you crosspost. Come and share your fanworks and recs with us!

Holiday Exchange: Community Prompts are up!

Community Gifts has finished collecting prompts, and now it’s time to create! Anyone is welcome to choose a prompt from the list assembled below and create a fill for it, whether or not you’re signed up for the main Holiday Exchange. Works created for these prompts, if submitted to the 2016 Holiday Exchange collection by December 26th, will be revealed and promoted as part of the exchange collection.

Rules:

- Fills should be new and created solely for the 2016 Holiday Exchange Community Gifts, and not for any other fandom event
- If you are a participant in the exchange we ask that you complete your exchange gift before creating a community gift
- No sign-up or claiming is required. So long as you post your gift to the collection by December 26th, with ‘Gift this work to’ set to ‘Cap Iron Man Community’, you’re good to go.
