3 days left!

This is your three-day reminder that all Cap-Ironman main Exchange gifts are due December 18th 7 PM PST/December 19th 4 AM CET (what time is this for me?).

POSTING YOUR ASSIGNMENT
If you’re not certain how to upload your assignment, instructions are here. Our extended FAQ post also provides this link, along with answers to many other questions, and if you’ve any other questions, feel free to ask us at that post, at this post, by tumblr ask, or by email to cap.im.events@gmail.com. Remember to keep your gift anonymous to non-modly folks until creator reveals on January 6th!

LATE GIFTS
After the deadline passes, any missing or incomplete assignments will be sent out to the pinch-hit list automatically. All you need to do to avoid this is to contact us if you are going to be a little late.

If you think you’ll need a few days more, it is important to get in contact with us before the deadline! Send us an email at cap.im.events@gmail.com, including a copy of your draft and an estimate of how much extra time you need. Please be realistic about your extension request. The assignment needs to be finished in time to participate in the reveal portion of the event. We won’t be giving out any long extensions.

Keep in mind that while there is no penalty for defaulting before the December 18th deadline, if you default after receiving an extension then you will not be eligible to participate in other Cap-Ironman cooperative or exchange events (such as the BB, RBB, or Remix) until you have completed and uploaded a gift for your recipient, or until one year has passed, whichever comes first. DROPPING OUT
If you discover you won’t be able to finish your gift at all, there is no penalty for dropping (either by contacting us, or simply not submitting an assignment) as long as it is before the deadline, but please try to let us know in advance if this is the case. The sooner you tell us, the sooner we can find a pinch hitter, and the sooner everyone gets their gifts!

PINCH HITS
If you’d like to be a pinch-hitter, we encourage you to email us at cap.im.events@gmail.com! Being on the pinch-hit list does not obligate you to fill any assignments. If you volunteer to pinch hit, you will get to preview the possible prompts before volunteering for an assignment, so don’t worry about getting stuck with something you would have difficulty writing.

COMMUNITY GIFTS
Completed community gifts are due December 26th for inclusion in the collection! See here for directions on how to upload your community gift.

REVEALS
Gift reveals will begin on December 26th. Authors and artists will be revealed January 6th!
