2019 Cap-Iron Man Holiday Exchange Rules and Sign-Ups Instructions

Yes — the Cap-Iron Man Holiday Exchange has arrived!

The Cap-Iron Man Holiday Exchange is our annual fanwork exchange for Steve/Tony art and fic. Participants will be matched to one another to secretly create a Steve/Tony fanwork for another participant. Gifts may be fic (minimum 1000 words) or art (traditional or digital medium; no manips, gifsets, playlists, or vids).

At the end of December the gifts will be revealed anonymously in batches, and then in early January the creators will be revealed!

Before signing up, please read through the General Event Policies and the following information below, even if you participated in previous years.

2019 Cap-Iron Man Community Gifts Rules and Instructions

A year has passed and it is time for Community Gifts again! The Cap-Iron Man Community Gifts event is a period where the community invites anyone to submit and fill prompts to be revealed alongside the Holiday Exchange works. All completed fills are gifts for the community and all its members to enjoy!

You don't have to take part in the Holiday Exchange to submit or create Community Gifts. There is no sign-up and no commitment, and no minimum requirement for any of the fills. The main four rules are:

★ The prompts and fills must be focused on Steve Rogers & Tony Stark.
★ The works must be completed and created solely for the Community Gifts (and no other event).
★ The works must be kept anonymous and a secret until the reveals.
★ Most importantly: be excellent to each other!

• Please read through the General Event Policies before joining the Holiday Exchange or participating in the Community Gifts.


• This event is run by the cap-ironman community and it’s a Steve/Tony fest, so we’re looking for art and fic with a focus on the relationship, whether platonic or romantic, between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in any context and in any setting or continuity you can think of.


• All participants must be 18 or older for the Exchange.

Community Gifts is the annual gift giving event run in tandem with the Holiday Exchange. It is a way for participants to give gifts to the community without the pressure or commitment of the Holiday Exchange. Prompts are collected anonymously from anyone who wants to submit one, and after they’re published, everyone is welcome to fill them — no sign-ups needed.
