There are two days to go until the Cap-Iron Man Holiday Exchange assignment deadline!

Finished exchange assignments are due at 22:00 UTC on December 26th(what time is it for me?). You can see the “how to fulfill my assignment” section of the Exchange Guidelines for more information.

Don’t forget that there is an anonymous period to the event - so please make sure to redact any identifying information such as signatures and links to other social media platforms.

Also, a reminder that Community Gifts are due at 22:00 UTC on December 27th (what time is it for me?). You can check out the massive prompt list here, and be inspired to create a community gift right up till the deadline, as there is no sign-up required!

Don't forget to submit your exchange and community gift fanworks to the Cap-IM Holiday Exchange Collection on AO3.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the mods as soon as possible at cap.im.events@gmail.com.

It’s time to start thinking about the Cap-Iron Man Reverse Bang!

The Reverse Bang is the annual Cap-IM event where artists create works with the intent of inspiring authors to create an accompanying story (the reverse of the Big Bang; for this event, authors claim art to write for). The Cap-IM RBB will run from January until June 2020. Mod activity will begin in late December and extend into the first week or so of June.

If you are over 18 and would be interested in teaming up with the comm mods to help mod this year’s Reverse Bang, please send us an email at cap.im.mod@gmail.com expressing your interest and any experience you might have.

We are looking for several mods for this event so that no one gets overburdened. Whether you have previous experience with taking part in or modding a reverse or big bang challenge, a different event or community, or are just looking to get more involved with the Cap-IM comm, we’re happy to hear from you!

Potential responsibilities:

  • Answering emails and other questions/comments about the event via Tumblr etc.
  • Advertising for the event, including posting on LJ, DW, Pillowfort, Tumblr and Twitter (note that we have mod accounts so you don’t need to personally be on the platform).
  • Co-ordinating sign-ups, art and date claims, and participant posting
  • Encouraging participants in their work
  • Creating and managing the event’s AO3 Collection
  • Posting round-ups of submitted fanworks

Questions? Send us an email at cap.im.mod@gmail.com!
