Date Claims Format: Poll Results

The community has spoken! Thank you to those of you who voted on the matter of how future Cap-Iron Man date claims will run.

We received 54 submissions, and while the two top choices were neck to neck for a bit, it was always clear that going forward, date claims for Cap-Iron Man events would be run differently.

We are announcing the results now in case this influences writers who may wish to claim an artwork in the upcoming 2020 Cap-Iron Man Reverse Bang art claims on February 15th!

Claiming dates by Google Form edged out claiming via Dreamwidth post for both 1st and 2nd choice of voters.




What does this mean?

Posting date claims will be run via a Google Form on a first come, first-served basis. There will be a link to the live spreadsheet that will show the timestamps of when the posting date claims forms were received, for transparency.

• 3-5 posting dates will be listed by each team, in order of preference.
• Posting date claims will be allocated in the order that forms are received. The Google Form link will be posted on our c-im-bigbang Dreamwidth, with the opening of date claims being announced via email and cap-ironman community platforms.
• Teams that submit forms where all dates listed have already been picked will be asked to resubmit.
• If a team has special requirements due to participant schedules, there will be an opportunity to email the event mods beforehand. Please be advised that there will be a set time to make such requests and that mods will do their best to be accommodating but cannot guarantee that all requests will be able to be filled. Requests will be considered on a first come, first serve basis.

Please note that more information will be available a week before date claims take place for each event, in the form of a public post and an email to signed-up participants.

Please note that proxies remain a valid way of claiming.

We hope that by making this change, we will be creating a less stressful, more straightforward process to claim posting dates.
