Tony wonders, sometimes, what his life would have been like if Steven had lived. If Tony had been able to press a bit more life into his body and help him live a little longer. If he hadn't been cursed with an unending life to look over his seven incarnations and fail, time and again, to bring him home safe.

A Steve-as-King-Arthur AU with Tony as the undying Merlin. Written in the vein of BBC's Merlin, but focused also on the later reincarnations of Steve rather than just the first one. Takes place roughly in time with A1 and CATWS.
