So long and thanks for all the fish π¬
Kia ora folks,
If you know me, it's probably from posting all those cap-im event announcements on Discord as Lore; I've been co-modding the cap-im comm a few months' shy of 3 years.
I honestly can't believe it's been that long, but also sometimes it's felt like decades, especially with all the pandemic time-blurriness.
And now it's time to step down and pass the baton on.
Thanks to everyone who's interacted with the comm - the creators, the cheer leaders and beta readers, the event participants and event mods, the enthusiastic readers and reccers and prompters and lurkers and those who shared our posts or reacted with emoji on our announcements. This comm is still so active because of all of you and your love for Steve and Tony, and it's been a pleasure to facilitate fannish opportunities for you.
Thanks to my current co-mods,
navaan who has been a stalwart comm mod for so long and holds a lot of knowledge about the comm's history, and to
capneverever who came onboard in June 2020 - her Trivia Quiz idea in particular has been a highlight. Thanks also to Dap and faite who I co-modded with at the start, and all of the event mods I've worked with: Marie, Neb, Ven, Salma, Kait, Jess. Having a solid mod team to rely on makes everything so much better π
I've enjoyed opening up our challenges to more work types, expanding our presence on Discord and seeing creators new and old take part in our many events. The Universe Medley Fest taking off has also been heartwarming (apologies for the late "monthly" round-ups, I blame Covid and look forward to being able to draw something from scratch again... sometime in the future).
We've done awesome things together, and I look forward to seeing what the comm does next.

I'm so surprised by this news haha, in my mind you and this comm are integral to one another I guess. But you definitely deserve to pass on the responsibilities of such a big, active comm, as much fun as it is, I just wanna take this moment to acknowledge also the truckload of work that it is when things get going.
You've done such a great job and although I've drifted out off the MCU fandom's specific communities, seeing you pop up on EAD now and then is a delight. Now if only timezones weren't a thing π
Thank you for all your work on cap-im, thank you for showing me the ropes with RBB, you rock.
Much love π
