Soooo many things pop to mind with "oak". "Strong like the mighty oak." And words like tall, strength, patience, endurance... you know, Steve words. XD

Oak, it's his Tree assigned by birthday. Read about it here (http://www.edenspirit.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page&id=25&chapter=0) or:

Oak 10Jun - 7July
According to Celtic Astrology you were born under the Oak moon, a time of growth and fruitfulness and a time for focussing on constructing and uniting your wisdom, energy, survival and safekeeping. The Oak was the sacred tree of the Druids, symbolising truth and steadfast knowledge and it was believed that doors made of Oak kept out evil.

As an oak person you are self-possessed, very wise, ever the Optimist with great self confidence and you seem to just know things, you see with clarity. This is because you are directly linked (personally) to the primal knowledge of the Druids who adopted their name from the Celtic for Oak: Duir. This link is unique and sacred; you will most likely squander the first half of your existence learning to put together and identify with this gift, until then your belief will help you through to the second half of your life. You will be fully aware of your gift by the second half of your life and will completely understand the power of your inherent gift, using it for the good of all.

Sorry, I'm Pagan and I like things like this and it really does seem to hold true in almost every aspect. Except Steve really really isn't an Apple Tree person

It does. Kinda scarily correct.

I'm amazed by the apparent consensus on this fact.

If you think about it, Steve's really quite like the redwood (sequoia). He's larger-than-life, imposing, powerful, and really nice to look at (heh), but he needs to be surrounded by others who are larger-larger-than life because the roots holding him in the ground are shallow and can't support him. Everyone else's roots twine with his and then none of them can be torn down.

Yeah, I'm pretty philosophical when I'm on benedryl...
