Comic rec~! With scans
I recently bought a couple of hard covers. While it helps to check out scans and ratings before hand, most of the times comics buying is really a hit or miss thing for me. Sometimes I get a great book, other times I get All Star Batman and Robin.
But, er, back to more on topic stuff. I thought I'd recommend rec Iron man - Legacy of Doom. The art is good(Pencils by Bob Layton), story is light(Writer David Michelinie), humor is there... something I felt a comic should always be like.
The book is a seper4atefrom the regular Iron Man DoS and Invincible Iron Man series. So it can afford to do a couple of things:
1) Ignore Civil War. (woohoo! ... Alas, completely no Cap here)
2) Ignore the intense "ZOMG CIVIL WAR I AM SO GUILTY I MISS STEVE SO MUCH" emo that seems to be surrounding the current arc these days.
3) Insert in humorous crack. With such brilliant villianess threats like this one:

Er, ew?
The story concerns Tony remembering his latest encounter with Doom. Through a pact with the devil, Doom got hold of the sword Exaliber. He had originally intended to merge the sword with the scabbard to gain huge power. Maybe to fight a huge eyeball demon, or just to gain huge power. With Doom, I'm never sure. But along the way, he tries to sacrifice Tony to gain the sword, so a fight ensues between the two. If I describe anymore, it'll probably spoil the story... but the book is pretty self contained. It kinda feels like a Marvel Adventures book.
The art is quite solid too. I esp like the drawings for Tony (of course)

Onlything I don't like? No Steve. LOL
So if you want to get a new book and can't figure out what... :D Feel free to grab this one.

re:Scottish!Steve
It's just that the Scot in question is way skinnier, but not too skinny. Like Steve sans serum.
