Re: Not even Crossbones?
Also, I just can't find anything sexy about a combat uniform that's screaming "Shoot my in the torso! Cut my femoral arteries! Grab me by the hair and yank my head back to cut my throat!" Corpses are not sexy, or at least I do not find them so, and women who are obviously dressed only to be sex objects even less so. "Sexy yet practical" all the way.
Re: Not even Crossbones?
In terms of sexy yet practical, I love all the clothes that Sharon Carter was wearing in Captain America: Red Menace, both she and Steve was practically dressed, and still radiated sexy. When Steve was dreaming, there was an image of Sharon posing seductively, but not in an uncomfortable pose, in her black body hugging outfit that was way sexy. I wish I can find a scan of that image. This one is close (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/9d/Agent13.jpg/150px-Agent13.jpg), but the black one was sexier, and didn't have the skin windows which makes no sense. The shoulders could be rubbed raw if she was thrown and skids across the ground, which happens.
Interestingly enough, while I was image googling for Sharon Carter, I came across this:
Exploitive yes, but at least it's still realistically sexy...and wow. That looked like it could have been traced out of gay porn (again). It looks like he could have been sitting on the lap of someone who's holding his arms back.
Re: Not even Crossbones?
I just drew a sketch of Cap as a woman, in his standard costume, and (allowing for lack of artistic ability) it definitely does not reduce the sexy factor one iota. Not only would I not kick her out of bed, but she'd better lock her bedroom door, because I'd crawl into hers in a heartbeat.
The Stripperific costumes are almost forgiveable for characters who have super-durability, because they're significantly tougher than any clothing you could put them in anyway, but for those like Sharon who just practice a lot, it's silly. (Among other things, no one in hand-to-hand combat should be not wearing some serious chest protection, any more than a male character who fights hand-to-hand should ever be not wearing a cup. F'rex, female fencers wear at the bare minimum metal discs in special pockets in their jackets, and more commonly a plastic chest plate.) A female character would expect to take as much damage as their male equivalent, and when was the last time Cap fought with his shoulders and half his chest bare?
...Hey there, Tony. Sentient armor interested in getting back together with you again? 'Cause, um, yeah. (But notice how he doesn't have random cutouts, his skin is completely albeit skin-tightly covered, and he isn't uncomfortably twisted to show maximum fetish fuel?)
Re: Not even Crossbones?
Speaking of skin tight covering, isn't the underarmour actually almost like Tony's skin now? It's not something he takes off. So how much can he feels with it on and I wonder if he can have sex in it? Ha.
Re: Not even Crossbones?
You are not the first person to have wondered that. I wonder, when Steve touches it, is it cool (like metal) or warm/hot, because it's extruded by Tony's body?
