It smiled down on him with something nearly fond. “I’ll bet you’re everything he thinks you are,” it said softly.

*wibble*

Tony wasn’t sure if he felt more like laughing, or just leaning his head wearily against something. “Why is it always the end of the world?” he said.

“Because bringing about the opening of a WalMart is not your style, sir.”
LOL! LMAO!

It leaned in close, bracing Steve’s large hands on either side of Tony’s head, looking close in his eyes. “He’s always wanted this,” it said. “Never noticed, did you. Saw him and didn’t see everything, even though he’s so bad at hiding. He’s been daydreaming of this.” It leaned in further and whispered against his throat. “Your god, your symbol of all that’s right, has been thinking of holding you down and fucking you. It’s pretty much all you’re good for.”

UNF. Bad jazzy, bad. But oh! What a time to find out! Then when Steve says that’s not how Tony should have found out… it *broke* me.

There was a pause. Then, “I am. I really am. You know, if you need me to come down there and...no? C’mon, I’d love to, I can help you guys figure this out, I know you love it when I hover. I can always get a fourth grader from one of the local elementary schools and bring her down, and she can show you exactly how it works, that’s how great the schematic is. Throw a few sparkly stickers around the margins if that won’t be too distracting...no, no, c’mon, that’s...look, if your feelings are hurt, I’ll send cookies along with the fourth grader.”
LOL. Of course, Tony. Of course.

“You’re not having any trouble looking at him, but he’s avoiding you. So something...happened that he had nothing to do with, but maybe wanted, deep down. None of us are blind, Tony. The worship’s always gone both ways. You guys can’t just try and reason your way past this.”

I like your Jan, Pepper and Carol. Better than how I like Marvel’s Jan and Carol. Their Pepper is just as cool as yours. I like how you use Tony’s armour as metaphor as well.

“I know you,” was all Tony said. He wrapped a hand in the front of Steve’s shirt.

They slept that way, held in close to each other, safe against the dark.

D’aw. I like the portrayal of Tony having faith in the tangible (Steve), and letting Steve having faith in the bigger things. Yeah.
With the urgency gone, it was a long night of something slow and deep, of shivers and shared breath, of patterns drawn with fingertips. Tony now had schematics for Steve.

Yes, this sentence is platinum. I’d buy shares in this sentence.

The end was a bit sudden. But oh, this is bliss. I love Supernatural too, and yes, I'm still Catholic it seems, no matter how much distance I try to put between myself and the faith.

I'm never too distant from my religion... no matter how fast and far I run. Castiel is supposedly one of the angels of the Seraphim (choir of angels) in Judeo-Christian mythos. In Juddaism, it's more to do with the Kaballah sect (the true one, not the Madonna celebrity laden one).

Castiel is also supposed to be one of those angels that met at the end of the world, which is why this story DEMANDS a conclusion. Yay.
