Summary: Tony makes it clear that Steve's ass is his and in the MA-verse Steve and Tony are trying unsuccessfully to look like women.

A sketch on SAI which started as anatomy practice and warped into this, haha.

The two large scars on his left side are from the bullets that killed him. The nail marks are from... well just look at what Tony wrote (in sharpie no less) on his ass. I think it's pretty obvious what the scratches are from, haha. Steve doesn't actually have a tattoo of the American flag on him. I think.

Steve and Tony have an undercover mission. As women. Unfortunately, neither of them make very convincing girls and Steve refused to stuff a balloon down his dress, haha. The body hair is a little over exaggerated on purpose.

This is probably set in the Marvel Adventures Universe (or maybe not, because crossdressing isn't usually considered something shown to kids I guess).

Also, ignore the background. Just ignore it completely, because it's horribly ugly, haha.

I believe he started with the mustache thing in the first place because, starting college as young and soft-looking as he did (especially in movie canon), it wasn't always -clear- he was a guy.

This is clearly a joke though, and Steve... why does he remind me of He-Man now? (brain hurts now)

You're right! Haha, I'm still pretty shocked that Steve could pull off the whole granny look though. Ugly old woman or not, it still seems like something destined to fail, ya know? I guess that's what made it so funny.

Mmm, soft and nubile Tony. Haha, well he certainly doesn't look so soft and young now, and even without the body and facial hair I doubt he'd make a very convincing dame, haha. Both Steve and Tony are very manly looking men, although it obviously varies depending on the artist.

I think you made my brain hurt a little with that too though haha. Heh, I was actually going to do something like that in the drawing, but ah, I was told that they looked far too convincing and gave Tony some ballons instead for humor mostly.

I feel uncomfortable with your insistence that men are mostly terrible crossdressers. Saying that Steve and Tony aren't convincing women is one thing, (although Steve apparently did pass in canon) but to generalize so broadly suggests that women who look 'mannish' aren't proper women, and kind of skims over the existence of many, many assigned-male-at-birth people who have no trouble appearing as if they were assigned-female-at-birth, either in drag or transitioning.

Having said that, your first picture is pretty cute - you have nice strong lines.

Well that's not exactly what I meant, and I'm honestly sorry it seemed that way. What I meant was that most of the men I've personally seen who dress up as women, and I'd like to think I've seen quite a few of them, are still very obviously male, if only because of the way they walk, talk, or act in general. Even with masculine women it's usually fairly easy to see that they are indeed female. That's not to say that I haven't seen men in drag who look like women (and gosh is it embarrassing when you get it wrong), or that there aren't a lot of people who can convincingly blur the gender lines out there, it's just that in a population of about 7 billion (and we'll assume that about 4 billion are men) "most" could mean 3 billion. That leaves about one billion men who can convincingly crossdress, and god is that a lot of people. I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding! I should probably go change that to sound less offending...

Well, the obvious point is that if a man who dresses up as a woman does not appear obviously male... you won't notice. You'll just see a woman. So your sample is going to be biased from the get-go.

I realise that a lot of male cross-dressing is done for fun and involves balloons and bad wigs, but as a lot of trans women face discrimination and physical danger from people if it's discovered they're trans, and some people feel 'tricked' when they discover a person they were attracted to is trans, it's not helpful to make such broad generalizations. And we may well have trans people in the community who would feel uncomfortable reading that - I know, as a woman, I'm often made uncomfortable by broad statements about what women do/are like, and trans women face far more of a daily struggle.

I actually meant the balloons and bad wigs as a joke since I know that most people who honestly cross-dress, whether they're transvestites or transsexuals, don't actually wear them, and I honestly thought nobody would take me seriously.

Haha, you totally should! You never see a whole lot of pre-serum Steve, so it'd be a nice change, and with the way you draw I'm sure it'd turn out beautiful! Also, your comment kind of makes me wonder what pre-serum "Sarah" Rogers looks like, haha.
