Fic - The World Turned Upside Down

Title: The World Turned Upside Down (Complete)

Pairings/Characters: Steve/Tony, Bucky, Rhodey, Clint, Don Blake, Hank/Jan, a few historical cameos
Word Count: ~14,600
Universe: 616-based American Revolution AU
Rating: R, more for violence than for the PG-13 sexytimes
Warnings: None that I know of. History geek at work?
Beta: The awesome [livejournal.com profile] kaitou1412
Summary: Captain Steve Rogers of the Continental Army is sent to secure the help of Iron Man, notorious privateer.
A/N: So a long time ago [livejournal.com profile] velithya requested a Steve/Tony pirate AU, and the thing commandeered my brain and wouldn't let go. It isn't what I expected to write, but it is what it is and I need to clear it from my writing plate before I move onto the reverse big bang.

I fudged a bit of history. Complete geeky author's notes at the end.

Please, please alert me if you see fail.

Read it at DW.

:D I don't have a dreamwidth account, so I'm leaving my comment here. :D

This story was amazing! I'm also a bit of a history geek and that was like, all the best things rolled in to one and... *flails* So good.

I loved the characterization and everything! Thanks so much for sharing. :)

I don't have a DW account either so I'll post a comment here as well. Aaaah so much love! My Steve/Tony was suffering a withdrawal and you made me all smiley again. The use of historical reference was beautiful, and made me use parts of my brain that were in the dusty "stuff I never use" section of my brain. Seriously, the last time I referenced anything about the American Revolution was back in High School.

I really love pirate Tony, and it was great having the steam-powered engine on his boat. I was like, haha, always looking towards the future aren't you Tone. I love this work and I know I'm going to look forward to more of it in the future.
