Return of the Rec Week: Saturday, Day of Adventure!

Saturday may be mostly over (sorry!) but there's plenty of time to share tales of action, adventure, and villain-of-the-week!

You may rec up to four fanworks per theme. It's okay to go back to rec previous themes even if the day is over! I know not everyone can make it online each day.

I'm discovering that reccing individual genres is hard, because I love mixed genres so. D:

Title: Everyone Got Naked and We Got Cap Back Day
Creator: Letterblade
Universe: Earth-616 (main continuity)
Rec: Exactly what it says on the tin, this is the story of finding Steve on a Skrull ship after Civil War. As tends to be with post-CW fic, there's some hurt here, but also some "breaking free of a Skrull ship" shenanigans. It's a lovely little piece, and one of those that makes me wish Civil War had ended this way instead of how it did.

Title: The Roughest Day
Creator: Elspeth and Seanchai
Universe: Earth-616 (main continuity)
Rec: This could have gone under H/C. What I love about this one is that Steve and Tony are already established, and the fic is partly about how their relationship grows. It's also about Tony getting ill, Steve getting hurt, stuff exploding and, of course, villains doing what villains do. A nice long fic to sink your teeth into, and fun all the way through.

Title: Sea Stars

Universe: Earth-616 (main continuity)
Rec: Steve comes back by washing ashore and finds out that not only has America gone to hell in his absence, but Tony doesn't remember being a hero and there's something fishy in British Columbia. This fic is a tongue in cheek call-back to older style comics that still touches on the much more serious things that have been going on in current canon. Also, stuff blows up. I can never resist a good boom.

Title: Look Here, Look Back, Look Ahead
Creator: MarinaRusalka
Universe: Earth-90214 (Marvel Noir)
Rec: Famed Adventurer Tony Stark crash lands in the Carpathians and is rescued by Captain America. Then the fun starts. So far Steve has never existed in Marvel Noir, so the author took it on herself to make him, and did a wonderful job of it. The flashback-given backstory between Steve and Tony is lovely, and even more lovely is how they end up bouncing off each other in present-time. Features Ancient Castles, Hydra-Nazis and (of course) stuff exploding.
