Captain America the First Avenger: First Vengeance

 I thought I would post this here on the comm so that people can check it out.  Apparently Marvel is adding to the hype of Cap's movie by debuting a digital comicbook tie-in which will be available to DL (the first part anyways) at CaptainAmerica.com during Superbowl Sunday.  It's also supposed to give in clues how it ties into Ironman 2 and Thor.  You can take a look at the 2 page preview Over Here
Hmm, my first impression is Ultimate Cap [grins] but the...thought bubble...made me laugh and go maybe not.

From everything we've seen, it looks like style-wise they're going for Ultimates, but personality wise (at least with Steve) it seems pretty 616 -- at least from CE's comments about the character, the way he plays him, etc.

Seems like the best possible combo to me! :D 616!Cap may be an absolute sweetheart, but uhhh... those wings looks MUCH better when they're painted on, am I right? ¬_¬;

Yeeeah. The entire costume is a bit much. Those boots? Lordy. I don't mind an upgrade. I'm curious to see what he gets to don in The Avengers.

I just had an idea? And now I so want to see this in any of the upcoming movies, even if as a DVD extra or gag reel or something!

Steve being the dorky art student is touching-up/designing his own costume (preferably when he gets defrosted for the Avengers) and he puts in the ACTUAL wings- like in 616! And then everyone (preferably including Tony) is o_O at him but it breaks all the 'AWE' feeling going around and then they make fun of him!!! And *RDJ!Tony* makes fun of him! And Steve is all-- *pouts*! *is dead of over-imagination*

THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN, JOSS.

Tony would laugh, and then design him a new suit with a jetpack. Steve would accept the suit, but kindly decline the jetpack. Tony would then pout for about an hour.(Doesn't Howard have something to do with the design of Cap's suit in this movie?)

YES! HOW DO WE LET HIM KNOW?! (But if we do, he'll probably just do something completely contrary... D: Because he's *Joss*!

Oh? What *is* Howard's role in this movie exactly? I thought he was going to be actively involved in the SSS project itself? (I just hope there is not the teensiest tiniest microscopic-est bit of Ho Yay b/w Steve and Howard, because if there is I really will puke forever... DDDD:)

I don't remember if he was involved in the serum program... that or helping the OSS (early SHIELD) during the War. There's been so little info about this movie. Gah. I do remember reading that he'll have a hand in Steve's improved shield. (Hopefully Tony can upgrade it more in current times.) And I really do feel like there was mention of Howard in some interview helping Steve update the costume. Like Steve does a bit of propaganda in the more traditional suit, but thinks it's sort of silly looking and not practical for a soldier -- and then Howard gets involved to upgrade it.

I want Howard to be a cocky asshole... but not in a lovable way. (To better differentiate him from Tony.) I also want Steve to comment on his drinking.

Yes, I *want* Howard to be an unrepentant asshole as well. That's like the first rule of the multi-verse - Howard Stark must be an asshole and f*ck up Tony's childhood. Even Marvel Adventures wasn't immune from Howard the asshole! And did you *read* the most recent SHIELD issue? *shales head*

IM: Armored Adventures failed to engage me as much as it *could* have because of St. Howard. But now we have hints that pre-Tony (and possibly pre-Maria's death) toon!Howard might have been an asshole as well, so I like it better now. ;)

Found this, from the actor Dominic Cooper:

That last question is all sorts of ridiculous. Yes. Tony was born in like 1940.

He looks amazing for 70!

He moisturizes.
