Shane Black to Direct Iron Man 3

This is going to be awesome. And potentially very good for us shippers...

I don't know how many folks know Shane Black's filmography, so I'm gonna run through it: He broke into the business by writing Lethal Weapon and co-writing/developing the story for Lethal Weapon 2. He also wrote "The Last Boy Scout" and "The Long Kiss Goodnight". More recently -- and more importantly -- he wrote and directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang staring Val Kalmer, and you guessed it Robert Downey Jr!

I'm a huge fan of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Great dialogue. Great buddy film. Gay Perry is the Man. All things that we want from Iron Man 3.

It is an inspired choice by Marvel. Shane Black might not have created the buddy cop action film, but he sure did perfect it. We have no clue if Cap will or will not be in the film; however... Rhodey's totally gonna it in, so you can bet the War Machine and Iron Man interaction will be epic win.

So basically, we have a new director who knows how to write buddy cop films, silly quip-tastic dialogue and huge action sequences!

Now if we can just get Cap it in, it will be Best. Movie. Ever.

Though, Warning... Now that Black's involved: 1. The movie will take place at Christmas 2. in Los Angeles and 3. a big action sequence will happen on a bridge over a highway.

Seriously Favreau? Favreau who?

Chris Evans is actually signed on to make 6 movies for Marvel. :Db They actually wanted him for 9 (Like Samuel L. Jackson) but that scared him a bit, and he said he'd start at six and go from there.

So yes, there will be lots of Cap. :DDD

KKBB = <3.... I felt like there wasn't much Rhodey (lots of Warmachine) so hopefully there will be some good Rhodey/Tony interaction, that will make me a happy fangirl.

I was watching Daredevil [yummy Ben Affleck and whatnot >8)] and noticed to my suprise that Jon Favreau actually played Matt Murdock's best friend Froggy. D=

I mean, they shouldn't be giving Chris Evans flack about playing two Marvel characters, I mean look at Favreau! Nelson and Hogan!
