A Little Song and A Panel

So, I just came across this amazing band called Kirby Krackle which does, what they call 'nerd rock', based mostly on comic book characters. They have a song called "Tony Stark" about Tony in the aftermath of Civil War and I just had to share with the comm. The first paragraph is pure gold and very clearly talks about Steve. :D

Have a video! Warnings for Joey Q guest-starring and also, I apologize for being totally unable to find an album version of the song, but here, have at it! :D

(Lyrics)

Edit: The awesome [livejournal.com profile] gogglehead84  found a clearer version of the song here (streaming) and very very graciously made this downloadable mp3 for the comm. Thank you!

In other news, the Iron Age: Alpha is off to an awesome start. (Panel and info under cut are slightly spoiler-y but only if you know absolutely nothing about mini, including the plot premise.)

The world is destroyed, everyone is dead, but Tony's in the past where he can maybe prevent this tragedy! Here, have his reaction panel to the end of the world! :)

(Well, I admit, it might have been shippier to have Steve's name first, but order aside I think these are the absolutely in-character for the first people Tony would think of... though I think, Jarvis should have been on there too, but... *shrugs*)

That song! It made me smile and cry at the same time. And I'm in a train!

Great song! I love the first paragraph XD. I found this version of the song which is clearer http://kirbykrackle.bandcamp.com/track/tony-stark I can make a MP3 for everyone. Give me a bit.

Sure I don't mind. Unless the mods have a problem with the dl.

omg, I love Kirby Krackle so much! I already loved their music, but then I saw them at NYCC and they were super nice, and that just makes me love bands more. Everyone should go listen to their music like right now. You can listen to it streaming on their website here (http://www.kirbykracklemusic.com/). /stanning

I mean. Um. That was a very nifty song you found there and I am not overinvested in it at all.

Their music is just beautiful for mixes. I think I've used their music in all but one of my own comic book fanmixes. lol. GLA and Marvelous Girls are my favorite, too! I like a bunch of them, though. On And On, Ring Capacity, Secret Identity... Their songs are so much fun. And tbh, Another New Crisis sums up my feelings on comic books nowadays so well that it's not even funny. D:

I may or may not have wept inside while listening to that song. Both because of the lyrics and the fact that some beautiful people actually sat down and wrote this and then recorded it, omg.

Brb lamenting the fact I'm broke and unable to buy the rest of these guys' stuff. I think "epic" is the best word to describe it.

And if Iron Age gets more positive response, I'll definitely be on the look-out for the hardcover or paperback release. Hopefully I'll have money by then. >3>

Heh, true. It was nice seeing a kind of acknowledgement there. And then I realised how sad it is that I was surprised to see such emotional handling of a character from fanboys rather than fangirls. *Shakes head* All these songs really do make me feel better about the fanbase though. :D

The entire premise of Iron Age made me squee with glee; I have a thing for time travel stories done well (perhaps especially with Iron Man, since Doomquest is one of my favourite arcs...) so I really, really want this to be good. :3

I live in a galaxy country far, far away... At least far enough away to have some problems getting my hands on new issues; those that are not expected to sell well are simply not imported (you can admittedly order them at the store but it takes ages for them to get here |D). Also I am not as rich as I would like to be. As a result, I am ridiculously picky about what comics I buy and fight the abstinence with re-reading old albums and fanfiction. :P

... I guess there's always illegal download, but I am computer illiterate.

Apparently they were at Supanova... and recorded an album there. But I didn't see them, and I can find nothing else about them being there. Weird.

After searching... They were at the either Melbourne or Brisbane Supanovas... or both. Not Sydney. So missed them because they were in the wrong state and a couple of months ago.

Yes... and now I've heard them, I'll keep an eye out.
