Now, what's next for challenges? We plan on holding our third yearly winter fic and art exchange - sign-ups will be running from the start of November. We're planning a friending meme quite shortly, as we have a lot of new people who want to meet people to squee with!

But what else would you like to see in the way of challenges and comm activities? Bingo cards? Comm read-alongs? Another Reverse Big Bang, another Big Bang? Podfic exchanges, drabble-offs?

Comment below, and tell us what you'd like to see more of in the comm!

Running into another Eyeshield fan is rare for me. In fact, the only place I thought I'd ever see them would be at fanfiction.net. It was a nice place too, until for some unknown reason a flood of new fans came in and started posting fanfics with OCs and kept turning poor Sena into a girl [cries in corner] lol. I haven't been back in a long while, but I swear Eyeshield is the one manga I can read over and over again - and watch the anime over and over again too! It was a shame I got into it right when the series was ending...talk about fandom withdrawl XD

But anyways, okay after the Christmas Bowl [tries to remember] I wrote a review somewhere...[checks DA account] ah here we go...whoa written in 2009...[re-reads] OOoooh...boy is it all coming back to me now. Hahaha, nostalgia. If you want to read the spoilery article I have it's a href="http://angelinoshi.deviantart.com/journal/"> HERE. It's the very first entry...so no having to hunt for it.

But, to summarize...to be honest, the whole World Youth Cup was a complete waste of potential. Actually, I commented that I thought the whole arc actually ripped off the anime filler arc "Cream Puff Tournament" since the ideas and involving characters were the exact same thing. Personally, I think the manga's strongest arc was Deimon vs. Oujo or Shinryuji. The Christmas Bowl was okay, but it didn't come across as passionate or exciting for me the way the Kantou regionals were.

Reading the last arc was a let down, mostly because everything was so compact. You don't get any long drawn out matches, the new characters you meet hardly get any depth, and it has one heck of a cop-out conclusion. Still, that said...would I read it? Sure, but don't expect much. You can almost take the whole Youth Cup as "bonus" material. The true manga really ended at the Christmas Bowl.

Thanks for the link, I'll read it right away. I'm wary of the World Youth Cup but I might give it a read after all.

I usually avoid FF. It's an interesting place but there's too much stuff there and I find it a bit overwhelming. And funnily enough, I've never shipped anyone with anyone in E21, just like I can't ship anyone with anyone in One Piece. It just never occurred to me. The first time I shipped anyone/anyone was Steve/Tony.
