Halloween Trick-or-Treat Post

It's almost Halloween, which means it's time to bring some of that spooky, festive spirit to [livejournal.com profile] cap_ironman. Use this post to:

  • Rec stories that gave you chills, or stories that feature vampires, zombies, ghosts, and such

  • Post creepy or cracky gifs or scans

  • Discuss CapWolf

  • Tell me which scene from the Marvel movies creeped you out the most

Or any other Halloween-type things. Happy Halloween, and have fun!

Ghost Rider scared me the most because I realized that I'd put like an hour and a half into that shitty-ass movie.

--NO, NO, IMDB SAYS IT WAS ALMOST TWO HOURS. OH GOD. D:

Also, here, have some Nazi vampires:

What's so funny is that Ghost Rider is the movie I went to see on my first date. He wanted to go see Epic Movie, but I won. To this day I'm still convinced I made the right choice.

There are few movies worse than Ghost Rider, but Epic Movie does win out. My dad made me watch that once. I still wince sometimes when I remember.

I haven't read that! I've heard really good things, though.

omg it is cropped from this fanart:

BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHO DREW IT!!! Which is really upsetting. I found it on tumblr uncredited and have been posting everywhere since trying to figure it out. I hope one day they see my icon or something and am like I DREW THAT so I can love on them and do not immediately follow it up with STOP USING IT AS AN ICON.

Oh god, you are missing nothing. It was incomprehensible.

ikr? I saw it and was instantly charmed.

Dude, Blade 2 totally creeped me out. I'm serious. It was something to due with how the vampire's feed with the whole mouth, instead of the fangs things that weirded me out during that movie.

Blade Trinity, the third movie was by far IMO the best out of the whole series. Blade 2 sucks, although my mom seems to love that film for some reason.

As far as recs go, here's my *favorite* werewolf story. I doubt
that regular readers here have missed it, but it's too much fun not to
repimp it for the occasion...

What Lies Inside by Penumbren
http://archiveofourown.org/works/243242

"When the Avengers discover Captain America in the Arctic sea, they find more than just a new team member: Tony Stark discovers his fated mate. The problem is, Steve Rogers is a man out of his own time and apparently straight, and Tony's not about to force anything on the man he loves--even if it means his own death. Besides, Tony's spent his entire life keeping secrets. How can he possibly tell Steve that he's really Iron Man, let alone a werewolf?"

Have a fic from one of my favourite authors:

Dying For a Drink by Tsukinofaerii. Marvel Ults + vampires = lots of fun and action and some angst and an excellent story.

Reccing another creepy Tsukinofaerii fic-Betwixt
Summary: Steve is pulled into an alternate universe that could have been plucked from his nightmares. All he wants to do is get home alive. Tony may have other ideas.

I was actually Tony for Halloween this year ... Version 1.0 of the armor I'm building for when the Avengers comes out (didn't have time to build Version 2.0 yet because I was in Canad(i)a for debate ;D). And I forgot to take slashy cosplay pics with me in the armor with the Cap shield I made for the Cap movie. *headesk* If NaNo's not too crazy this year, I'll try to get around to doing that ... soon. Let's go with soon. ;D

[identity profile] trebuchet-quirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
xD It was, rather - ended up taking three and a half weeks, requiring the use og my grandpa's power drill, and resulted in my nearly getting stitches/limping around for two weeks xD. And it still ended up looking like crap, so ... *headesk* Like I said, I'm planning on building 2.0 for the movie. ;D

But back on track - I built it out of garbage cans, actually, which are really cheap, come in black (so easily painted), are (relatively) easy to cut, and look quite nice in the end, with the proper girth and metally "hardness" (as opposed to, say, posterboard, foam, or cardboard). I actually used a modified version of the method suggested here http://www.therpf.com/f24/fetts-25-iron-man-mark-v-suit-tutorial-84259/index18.html, if you'd ever like to try it yourself. ;D

And hah, yes, the arc reactor. *headesk* The major part of the costume that I /completely/ forgot about until I realized I had to wear it. Again, things that should come in Version 2.0 ... xD
