Cap_Ironman Weekly News, Week Ending 19 February 2012

Hi all! Let me remind our Reverse Big Bang artists that today is the deadline for art! More info at the comm. Claims will be tomorrow, so if you're an author who wants to take part, watch the comm!

Well, Matt Fraction's critically acclaimed run on Invincible Iron Man is coming to an end. The final arc is called Long Way Down, and will apparently put Tony through the wringer. For a change.

Rumoured villains for Iron Man 3 is... Namor? Uh-huh. Maybe we should run a pool on the villain!

Matt Fraction's critically acclaimed run on Invincible Iron Man is coming to an end

I don't dare to throw a party over this until I know Tony/Rhodey/any member of the IM supporting cast will actually survive, but. IF I didn't worry about the safety of fictional characters in the hands of Dark Lord Fraction, I would.

... I'd watch an Iron Man movie with Namor. It's cracky enough to sound amusing, if nothing else though if that's what they're going for with the movie, I think the Sentient Armour arc would be the best way to go.

Ah, farewell Matt Fraction. I have a suspicion he has an embarrassment kink, so I'm a little worried about what's coming up for Tony. I'd love if Fraction took current IIM artist Salvador Larroca with him (cool armors, but, if nothing else, his Tony is not attractive).

I would love to see a cool Namor on the big screen, but he seems a little random, so idk Hammer and ... The Ghost? Living Laser? Spymaster?

Yeah, hopefully he can take Larroca with him as well. Larroca's shoddy, unprofessional style bothered me so much, I dropped the book in its first seven issues due to the art - my grumpiness with Fraction came soon after that to the point where, I don't even read Iron Man anymore, and I can get that for free.

Namor, eh? To be fair, Namor does a bone to pick with Tony - they clashed from their days in the Illuminati then not to mention Tony's actions towards Namor in Civil War so he's allowed.

Larroca? Lazy? Just because every single character look was based off of a celebrity, and characters of the same gender (and those of different races) all tended to look alike, does not mean lazy. God. HOW DARE YOU!!!1!

Well, Matt Fraction's critically acclaimed run on Invincible Iron Man is coming to an end.

I will not ask for a Gif party, I will not ask for a gif party... ¬.¬ But if I did post a gif, it would be this one (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/tsukinofaerii/gifs/0011h33b.gif).

I'm not even too worried about him wreaking havoc in his wake, because that's what retcons were made for. Just as long as we get someone not-horrible to clean up after him. (Apologies to any Fraction fans on here, but I really, really detest what he's done with Tony. Really.)

You gave me three lines of the newsletter.

I haven't' read any of the current iron man comics. Still work through the old stuff with my digital subscription at marvel website. What bad things has he done? I'm curious.
