Chicago Meet-up

It sounded like there was some interest in a C2E2 cap_ironman meet-up. Last year during the convention I had breakfast at a sunny restaurant called Yolk on S Michigan Ave which I really liked, so I was thinking we could meet there on Saturday, April 14th, maybe around 10 AM. There are free shuttles that go from the convention center to a stop a couple blocks from Yolk.

I'd like to know how this would work for those of you hoping to meet-up. If this fits the schedules of most people, I'll go ahead and make a reservation, so please let me know if you plan to come. If there's another time or place that works better for most people, we can arrange something else.

So it turns out that I might be presenting at a colloquium that day. But if I'm not, I'm SO IN. I'd probably be late, tho, since the train doesn't get in to Millennium until like 10:15.

Well, at this point I've got two 'maybes', so I'm inclined to call it off. Have you made any specific plans yet?

It's looking like a no from me. But if you're still planning on going to C2E2 and I end up ducking out of the stuff I'm supposed to do, we should definitely meet up!

Eeep, I might not have phrased that clearly. I'm still going to C2E2, but I wasn't planning on going to Yolk as it will just be the two of us. Would you rather meet somewhere in the convention center? Or do you still want to do a brunch-type thing on Saturday? If you're planning on being at C2E2 it would be easier to just meet there, but if you aren't, then we can meet wherever..?

Oh, that's not what I meant! I meant I'll be at the con by 11:00 - sorry for the confusion! We can totally meet up somewhere at the convention center. My biggest priority is the John Barrowman! &A and getting his autograph, although there are other talks (Marvel ones, obviously) that I want to attend. We could meet up before one of those or troll the tables together?

Good to know! I sometimes fail at communication, so I wasn't sure. I'm interested in the John Barrowman Q&A also, so we could meet before or after that. I'm also definitely going to attend the Chicks Dig Comics panel on Sunday, so if you're around the con then, that would work too. Basically, whatever works best for you.

We could definitely meet up before Barrowman, although if you're going to be there on time I'm sure you'll have a different spot in line than my friend and me. I'm not going to be around on Sunday, unfortunately. I really wanted to go to Chicks Dig Comics. I was looking at going to Marvel Television Presents or Cup 'o Joe depending on lines (since I really want time to troll all the booths!).
