Bunny Hutch Post

Haven't done one of these for a while.

Here is the place to comment with fic ideas that you cannot, will not or don't have time to write, in the hope that someone else will pick it up.

Do you have a plot bunny gnawing on your ankle? Post it here, and someone may adopt it.

Darcy Lewis: Queen of RPF!

Darcy seizes the opportunity to become queen of Avengers RPF, complete with made-up gossip, leaked photos, and sartorial shout-outs. (And if she has to destroy ALL the rest of Tony's bowties to get him to wear the blue one, SHE WILL.)

Unsurprisingly, this leads to Steve and Tony getting together!

I wish I knew how to write so I could do an AU in which Tony changes sides during CW but NOT because he's having sex with Steve or something like that, but because he's really convinced he screwed up (after Peter deflects, maybe? After the Clor catastrophe? After Goliath's death...?). And then there would be epic team!drama, and trust issues, and THEN feelings would resurface or some sort of relationship would start. I just think that changing sides only because of being in love would be too easy :)

I would be thrilled to see how everything would change for Tony, Steve, the Resistance, the SHRA supporters... *sighs dreamily*

I'm new to the fandom but I'm nearly done with Civil War and oh my god I want to write this. If I can get past freaking out that I'm too out of practice to ever write again I am soooo writing this. :D

[identity profile] fictionbycereza.livejournal.com 2012-04-09 10:05 am (UTC)(link)
Really? That would be awesome :D Be sure to post the link to the story on this comm, please! Fingers crossed and yay! I'm so excited! :)

Body switch fics!!!! Steve and Tony can switch or Loki and Tony would be freaking hilarious. I'm thinking the Loki Tony one they would be trying to keep it a secret because how it happened is embarrassing. Tony and Loki have to stay within close proximity or something while they figure out how to switch back. Pre relationship Steve and Tony. would definitely have to be a comedy/drama piece.

I would love, love, love if someone expanded on Natasha Stark from Earth 3490 (http://marvel.wikia.com/Natasha_Stark_(Earth-3490)). She'd be one of the comparatively few female CEOs, kicks serious ass, is still Iron Woman etc, etc, AND she marries Captain America. Specifically...I'd love to see exactly how DID they balance each other out in regards to the SHRA. I know people have done some fem!Tony fics (and I basically adore them all) but I haven't seen anything quite like this. (And if there IS something like this out there, PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN READ IT). I'd write something about this myself, but a) I'm not as well versed on Civil War era as I should be (I'm working on it, I swear) and b) I have about a bazillion and a half other fics on my plate.

&heart;s

Have you read A Statue of Us by jazzypom (http://archiveofourown.org/works/148870)? It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's probably the best Natasha Stark fic out there and the only one I can think of that's set during Civil War.

[identity profile] linneakou.livejournal.com 2012-04-05 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
May I second this? Seriously, there aren't enough 3490 fics out there.

[identity profile] linneakou.livejournal.com 2012-04-05 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Steve Rogers vs. The World - AKA Steve = Scott Pilgrim and Tony = Ramona Flowers. Tony's got so many exes and so many ambiguous exes (Tiberius Stone, anyone?) that it would totally work. Except Steve's too sweet to really be like Scott, but eh. It'd still be hilarious.

Seriously, I would bake brownies for whoever managed to do this. (You might not want to eat said brownies, but still!) And if you do manage to pull this off, let me know!

Should I include a list of characters?

[identity profile] linneakou.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my gawd that is awesome and hilarious! Yes, character list, please!

And someone should write an accompanying story! *meaningful glances* I would but it's almost Finals Week, sorry! ;_;

[identity profile] margo-kim.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, this pic is a thing of beauty. I want to draw little hearts around it and ask it to prom.

[identity profile] fictivore.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
OH MY GAWD! Why did you not put this up till now? D: So awesome. I'm actually not very familiar with Scott Pilgrim, but I do know there're supposed to be Evil Ex-es involved and lol, that phrase always makes me think of Tony. Appropriate crossover is totally appropriate.

As for characters, Sam and Jan and Bucky are clear enough. Is that Sharon with the double guns? Hmm, Whitney and Pepper is holding a gun to her head? Rumiko in front of them. Is Tiberius the guy behind them? Sentient Armor, sure enough, and I think Sunset Bain has red eyes? (How did I do how did i do! *jumps up and down*)

That's my limit, I'm afraid. Not sure who the girl with the white vase is. Or the three people in front. Or the girl with the red eyes who's mostly a head.

Ugh, but this is so great. It totally needs accompanying fic. ♡_♡

[identity profile] stalkerbunny.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
Don't know, it just either wasn't the right moment or I wanted to get some other things done to post at the same time (I did actually post it on [livejournal.com profile] bunnyfication yesterday, along with a Thor fanart, just need to decide whether to link it further now). Anyway, that character list, good guesses, you got almost everyone right. : D

The woman with Sentient Armour is actually supposed to be Ultron when it was possessing Tony and looked like Jan, and the big floating head is Sunset Bain, who I decided to make the Big Bad due to her creepy creeping on underaged Tony. The blond with the gun is indeed Sharon, but the other one (her hair is a bit too dark and red) is actually Kathy Dare.

The girl with the vase is Bernie Rosenthal and the three people in the front are Thor, Hank Pym (don't think I captured his likeness that well, sorry) and Loki in drag. In the original Scott Pilgrim poster the character in that spot was this girl called Julie and... Loki sort of seemed to fit that casting. >3>

[identity profile] rolmolo.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I need to write this. After seeing the picture I'm just so in... and it gives me another excuse to watch the Scott Pilgrim! YESSSSSSS. Be prepared.

The fic idea I've had bouncing around in my head is also a Earth-3490 story. I really want to see a story about the aftermath of Avengers 215 & 216, where the Molecule Man melts their gear including Tony's, or in this case Tasha's armor, and Steve ends up discovering they are Iron Man.

I know I've seen various prompts with Tony of either sex and the red thong...but I what I want to write or read about is Steve's reaction to discovering that his best friend Iron Man is actually a woman. The fic would most likely be a gen fic as opposed to them getting together right after discovering she's Iron Man, and would probably be an introspective piece from Steve's perspective. Which is why I haven't tried to write it- I'm just not familiar enough with Steve's relationships with women in general, Iron Man, or Tony Stark during this particular time period to I know exactly what reaction he would have...I just know it's something I desperately want to have explored.

[identity profile] fishiemishie.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, seconded! I love it when characters are confronted with sudden paradigm shifts, and the relationship exploration could be really awesome. Plus, not enough genderswap out there, IMO.

Combination 3490 and the What If'verse where Tony was the Sorcerer Supreme. I keep meaning to draw a Sorceress Supreme!Tasha...soon, maybe.

Or just more Sorcerer Supreme!Tony. I've only ever found, like, one. D=

Either will work for me. ^_^

[identity profile] gothamsphoenix.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, I remember these two other ideas AFTER I post the first one. V_V *sigh*

Crossover with Kingdom Hearts: trandimensional travel, AU, whatever you can think of.

A date that involves Steve freaking out over the fact that the sundae he and Tony are sharing costs 1000 dollars. For anyone who's going 'huh?', there's a restaurant, in Manhatten, called Serendipity 3 that serve what's called the Golden Opulence Sundae. I can see Tony buying this and then going 'you wanted to share an ice cream!'

This scene? *points at userpic*

I second any hurt!Tony fics. I may even write one myself. Poor Tony, he's always so easy to woobie.

[identity profile] selinamoonfire.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Actually I'm tinkering with an AU about this. Not quite like this, but I'm having Steve in the Iron Man movies so there will be much angsting over the palladium poisoning and Tony running out of options.

[identity profile] ami-neko.livejournal.com 2012-04-09 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
I'm super new to the fandom, too, but I've been doing a weeks-long trawl of Tony/Steve fic. Sororexitium (http://archiveofourown.org/works/327698) wrote an AU that might interest you.

[identity profile] insanelyviolent.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Hii!

So, no matter how much I try to banish the thought/my cravings for it, I just really REALLY want this to happen:

Can I has a Steve/Tony fic where every time they have sex, someone interrupts them? Either like, “oh god the world is in danger AVENGERS ASSEMBLE” kind of stuff or just like… random Avengers/Pepper walking in and making snarky/perverted/scarred for life type comments. And then uh... optional uninterrupted sex at the end if you so desire it. :)

[identity profile] zweisteinen.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a sucker for kidnapped!Tony stories. I've got a bunny where a villain kidnaps Captain America's boyfriend Tony to use for ransom. However, they're not actually dating (or involved at all).

If I ever get around to finding some ambition and actually writing, I'd go with ridiculous fluff instead of the angst angle. (Perhaps upon learning the true nature of their relationship, the villain stacks the rescue situation to try to fix the two of them up, abandoning the original plan? I don't even know what villain would be cracktastic enough to pull that off without major canon defilement... except maybe co-opting Deadpool to play antagonist.)

[identity profile] linneakou.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I second this so hard, especially the Deadpool bit. Everyone needs more Deadpool!

[identity profile] fishiemishie.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
I really want a genderswap transplant AU.

Stephanie Rogers gets accidentally zapped into the MA universe (or any, I guess, but they're all so adorable in MA). While waiting for Reed to sort out quantum, she follows Tony around because she has a guilty curiosity as to whether or not he’d be interested in her, thinking she doesn't have a chance with her own Toni.

Tony, who has long convinced himself that Nothing Is Gonna Happen between him and Steve, assumes the same with Steph, and takes it at face value when she says she’s bored and wants to sit with him in the lab, go dancing without the burden of her superhero identity, or lean against him while watching a movie because she feels psychosomatic cold.

The other Avengers follow Tony’s lead because they can’t imagine a Captain America that would lie like that, and Steve freaks out a little that she might give him away, and then is by turns jealous and sulky that Tony doesn’t seem interested either way.

[identity profile] linneakou.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Heavily seconded - genderbending and gender dynamics always make for good fics!

[identity profile] fictivore.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, I think I'm going to keep trying with these Historical AU babies. I really want them, but the thought of research is just so daunting! orz

A Tudor Era Genderswap AU where Stephanie and Natasha/Toni have to dress up as men to do the things they want to do? (science!/art!) Set against the backdrop of delicious political intrigue and the changing society, maybe narrow it down to Good Queen Bess' reign? Identity confusion, maybe Steph has to pass as a soldier, maybe Toni/Natasha pretends to be her father's apprentice and her own fiance at the same time. But really so much scope for identity porn.

Or!, a 1602!AU where for whatever reason Rojhaz didn't need to go back (there was no inter-dimensional instability~ whoo~) , and they meet when Lord Iron and Rhodes decide to settle in the colonies? Aah, and they try to do right by everyone and there are Witchbreeds! and stuff! And historical!Pepper and Happy as well? And Peter Parquah sells papers for Master Jameson. And Rojhaz and Lord Iron have ~romance~. 8D
Edited 2012-04-06 06:25 (UTC)

[identity profile] angel-inoshi.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
I am intrigued with your 1602!AU...though I have to wonder if things would get slightly awkward when the actual 1602!Steve arrives at said colonies. I'm sure Lord Iron would be like..."you didn't tell me you were twins!" XD

[identity profile] fictivore.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's certainly a thought! Hmm, thinking about it, since the heroes were supposed to be... idk born? formed~? in 1602 because of modern!Steve/Rojhaz coming there, (lol, almost like ~there can be only all or NONE! Ba-dum TISH! ;P) I'm not even sure a Steve that was native to the time, would even exist. Like you said, two Steve's would be quite confusing lol. :X (Or was the instability in the original 1602 because there were now two Steve's in the world? Huh, been a while since I read it, must research as soon as RL stops kicking me in the nuts)

Haha, have you read 1602: New World, the one in which Tony appears? It's actually pretty great, it kind of retconssolves a lot of the stupid from the first series, so even though it's just building up on the concept, sometimes I like it more than Gaiman's run. :P (Plus of course, it has Tony & Rhodey being awesome bros, which is awesome. Plus Tony is a Spaniard, lol, which makes for interesting fashions... Black goatee with blonde hair, as was apparently the fashion of the time. x||

And wow. this turned into a completely weird and off topic squee thing, oops? OTL (I really love historical AUs, lol) ANYWAY! To get back to your idea, it's certainly a very interesting tangent that wouldn't have occurred to me at all! :Da

[identity profile] angel-inoshi.livejournal.com 2012-04-06 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, if I am remembering correctly, there is a native Steve to 1602. He was training to be a soldier of some sort...I think. They never went into much detail with it as far as I know. He only appeared for a couple of panels on one page and that was that. I read some of the 1602 comics, but I never read the continuation 1602: A New World. All I remember is seeing Tony appear as Lord Iron but then they used him like a battery for a printing press.
I really need to go back and find issues because I don't think I even remember the entire story, just bits a pieces of it. Like how Peter was kind of Fury's assistant...sort of. Then Daredevil became blind due to some funky cave goo. Rohjaz is actually from another universe, but he was a body gaurd to Virginia...whoever she is supposed to be. And all superheroes/mutants are called witch breed because they can do some extraordinary things....hence witch. XD
Although...Tony with blond hair? The [censor]?! I mean even with him being a Spaniard, I don't recall anything about dual hair color [thinks] Yeahh...I'm going to fan-retcon that right now [colors his hair black] It's either that or his goetee goes blond. XDDDD and it's totally okay to squee with Marvel AUs. It's sort of shame there aren't any more fun AUs. I'd really love for them to expand Ironman Noir...or heck make a Steampunk AU, or whatever :)

[identity profile] rosieknight.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Virginia Dare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Dare) isn't a Marvel creation. She was the first white, English child born in the Americas. (That we know of.)

She and her parents were part of the Roanoke colony that vanished some time between 1587 and 1590.

[identity profile] angel-inoshi.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
See you learn something new every day. I didn't even know/remembered her last name was Dare, let alone Marvel was trying to tie into actual history...lol. I think all I can recall was that I think she was important to the story and she had white hair? As I said I don't actually remember much about 1602 and I don't have them on hand. But hey...pretty good for something I read around 2-3 years ago in passing at my LCS [waggles eyebrows]. Wasn't there also a dinosaur or something?

[identity profile] rosieknight.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
I've only read snippets of 1602, so I'm not sure.

(I will, however, rec the play The Lost Colony to anyone who's in the Outer Banks of North Carolina during the summer months.)

[identity profile] fictivore.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh wow. I don't remember at all. Must reread! And haha, yeah, Virginia Dare. I knew her thanks to my ill-spent youth consuming Encyclopaedias like they were chocolate. But, I don't historical accuracy re: events was the point there. ;) As for Tony, I'm not much of a historical expert at all, but I think that was supposed to be the latest contemporary Spanish fashion. (I kinda liked that. That they made him follow the "in-things", lol) But he could totally stop being fussed about it or about following the latest fashions back home in his new life in The New World!

A canon Steampunk AU would be totally the greatest. (or heh. A fan-one. What with more chances of OTP in there. ;P This is the bunny hutch post, innit? ;)

[identity profile] fishiemishie.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
I remember the Tudor Era prompt from the Reverse Big Bang, I think. I don't remember commenting but I definitely made an embarrassing squealing noise when I read it. I LOVE identity play and if I knew anything about the Tudor Era, I would be all over this. I really hope someone picks this bunny up!

I'm extremely new to this fandom, so I lack any ability to write coherent fic for it, but I would LOVE to see some fic from Pepper/Rhodey/Happy's POV about Steve and Tony's new fledgeling relationship. I've read a lot of (great!) fics about how the Avenger team/Fury find out/react/meddle with Cap and Iron Man's new relationship, but I'd love to see the thoughts of Team Tony.

Are they thrilled that Tony seems to have found somebody stable and supportive? Worried/anxious about Tony's ability to maintain such a relationship? Skeptical about Steve professing to love Tony without having had the difficult experience of putting up with pre-Iron Man Tony's nonsense? Cautiously optimistic? Bonus points for Rhodey being kinda jealous now that he's been (seemingly) replaced as Tony's go-to BFF.

Go nuts with it, peeps!

[identity profile] fishiemishie.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Seconded--I love Team Tony! I'd especially love to see the Rhodey bonus. (Tony still needs you, Rhodey!)

[identity profile] kazura-uyurin.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
So, I'm really new to the fandom, with most of what I know being the movies and bits and pieces of Civil War (one day, I will catch with Civil War in its entirety). I also have a huge soft spot for angst, idkwhy.

1) I was wondering about a movie!verse Civil War (so I suppose this is a fusion of movies and comics?), though how things would lead up to the SHRA, I have entirely no idea. ^^" I suppose what I'd really like to see is how movie!verse Tony would believe that the SHRA was neccessary, and how he'd go about doing things... and I have no problems with things turning out like they did in the comics, i.e. Steve dying. (Because as much as The Confession broke my heart, I also really, really love all the feelings and emotions it contained.)

2) Natasha Stark getting transported into the 616 universe and interacting with Tony and Steve. And because I am unhealthily in love with angsty stories (and angsty Tony by extension), I wouldn't mind if she got transported into 616 during Civil War or, even angstier, after Steve's assassination.

[identity profile] kmyash.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
On 2, oh goodness. I can see, no matter if it had happened to her or not, Toni would be like Tony's psyche come to life. She'd probably be horribly upset and accusing Tony of not stopping Steve's death when he could. Oh gosh, if she had survived her own universe's Civil War this could be her rehashing all the thought she had of herself after Steve died.

Ugh I find it terrible that the Civil War/CW fallout are my favorite. So much pain but so much passion.

[identity profile] kazura-uyurin.livejournal.com 2012-04-08 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to admit, Civil War and its fallout was what got me completely absorbed into this fandom in the first place. I am a complete sucker for angsty pairings and all the "what ifs" and too late to make amends/confess vibe going on. Not that sweet and fluffy isn't good, but as you said, so much pain but so much passion all at once. GUH.

[identity profile] krystalicekitsu.livejournal.com 2012-04-22 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I would love love okay- I would love something where the team tries to get Tony to stop drinking coffee. Like, maybe Clint mentions it in passing or something and then they all get in on the discussion and Steve's all 'wow, I didn't know caffeine had side effects like that!' and plays the concerned boyfriend and Tony's going 'guys, no, seriously, guys this is such a bad idea let-me-count-the-ways bad idea, you have no idea what I'm like without coffee but let me just tell you? Not. Good.'

And then they manage to decaffeinate him for, like, a day? And then he crashes or something- hard and becomes completely- I don't know. (I always rather thought Tony would be a high-functioning ADHD person, which would explain why he does all the coffee and explain the inventor thing- well, not that you need to 'explain' inventor, but did you know genius and ADD/ADHD go hand-in-hand a lot? Yeah, right up there with Asperger's.)
