Who's interested in a Big Bang?

The Reverse Big Bang is slouching towards a close (I was totally Late McLaterson, myself) and so it is time to start thinking about other challenges and fests and exchanges and all the good stuff we like. Obviously the fannish landscape has changed a little, and there are more general Avengers comms and challenges, so people may have other commitments. The mods bend with the will of the membership - do you fancy a Big Bang this summer, like we did last year? Perhaps you'd like to do something different, which you will specify in comments to this entry?

In the event of a Big Bang, I was thinking signups this month, writing in June, July and August, art in September, posting in October, min length 25k.

So, talk to me. :) What would you like to do?

A Big Bang sounds awesome, I've been writing fic a lot lately so I know that's something I'd be up for. Also if you're worried about participation you could always advertise it on tumblr I know a few blogs who'd be interested right off the bat. Plus it gets the word out to a wider audience.

As for other possible ideas for the comm in general that I know other comms (not comic specific) do are: one-sentence memes/prompt posts, anything but fic meme (right what it says on the tin, prompt something someone fills it through art, gifs, or a video), everything goes meme, regular prompt post, friending post, weekly/monthly rec posts, and even watch parties of the movies (we do this on one tv-couple comm watch movies that relate back to the couple or episodes that feature them heavily).

And that's all I got hope that's somewhat helpful MODs

Happy to help :D

a OSM from my experience is basically where people post a single sentence as a prompt and depending on the rules other posters fill that prompt. Typically it's done with fic, a person writes one sentence then another bases a fic on that one sentence. But there are other ways to fill it to through art, gifs, graphics, and vids too. :) As for a good time when to hold watch posts personally I would assume summer would be a decent time, account for different timezones, have some streaming links available, and even a poll if people would be interested and what time they'd like to hold one.

oh gosh I hope it doesn't sound like I'm being pushy D:

Oh good I figured, hell I've been in so many fandoms over the years so why don't I finally take a step out of lurking within comic fandom lol. Especially since I've been writing so much comic fic :P But really always glad to help, you MODs do a great job with this comm it's one of my faves because it's just so well moderated (and really that's so very much appreciated other comms could learn from you).

I'll research where another comm gets their streaming links and such cause I honestly don't know off the top of my head sorry :(

No problem! I really am comics are a steady growing fandom with all the new outlets there are like LJ, AO3, and tumblr especially. I mean it's always been a fandom but never one with a lot of activity from what I saw/lurked in. But with so much new interest it's gaining in activity and I've been trying to push people on my dash to get more into comics. The Avengers movie has certainly helped lol.
