Who's interested in a Big Bang?
The Reverse Big Bang is slouching towards a close (I was totally Late McLaterson, myself) and so it is time to start thinking about other challenges and fests and exchanges and all the good stuff we like. Obviously the fannish landscape has changed a little, and there are more general Avengers comms and challenges, so people may have other commitments. The mods bend with the will of the membership - do you fancy a Big Bang this summer, like we did last year? Perhaps you'd like to do something different, which you will specify in comments to this entry?
In the event of a Big Bang, I was thinking signups this month, writing in June, July and August, art in September, posting in October, min length 25k.
So, talk to me. :) What would you like to do?

Last time we discussed this, I believe we talked about a drabble-off as well? Which might be fun for people who don't have time to write 25k of fic. And/or a more art-oriented challenge.

I talked to
What kind of art-oriented challenges would you like? We'd definitely like more stuff to engage our fanartists, but none of the mods are really artists, so we're a little clueless with what kinds of things would be popular.

Maybe we can have a mini Reverse...er drabble? Perhaps more interactive, where an artist can post a sketch or whatever to the comm ("bait"...lol) and then writers can come up with a small drabble to go along with it? Like...say you have artist sign-ups...but instead of being paired with an author, the art would be posted to the comm everyday/other day/week...and then it'll be treated like a prompt. Maybe have some pitch hitters in-case no one fills an art-prompt...or go with an incentive...like those who "fill" all prompts within the Reverse Drabble post gets a special award...a Tony award :) lawl [dips Tony in golden chocolate] or Steve....either or.

That sounds like an interesting kind of challenge. We would like to do more art-centred stuff, so if you have any other ideas, please share!

As for other possible ideas for the comm in general that I know other comms (not comic specific) do are: one-sentence memes/prompt posts, anything but fic meme (right what it says on the tin, prompt something someone fills it through art, gifs, or a video), everything goes meme, regular prompt post, friending post, weekly/monthly rec posts, and even watch parties of the movies (we do this on one tv-couple comm watch movies that relate back to the couple or episodes that feature them heavily).
And that's all I got hope that's somewhat helpful MODs

We're about due another friending post, I think. I'm not sure what a one-sentence meme is? Watch parties do sound fun, though, we'd have to work out when was a good time... Very helpful, thank you!

Has there ever been a post that explains rules and tips and things for 1st time Big Bang participants? If not, there should be. I know so little about it!

I wasn't in the fandom last year when you guys had yours, but I've devoured almost all of the results. There were a lot of fantastic stories and art produced, and I'd love to try and contribute this year!
