Who's interested in a Big Bang?

The Reverse Big Bang is slouching towards a close (I was totally Late McLaterson, myself) and so it is time to start thinking about other challenges and fests and exchanges and all the good stuff we like. Obviously the fannish landscape has changed a little, and there are more general Avengers comms and challenges, so people may have other commitments. The mods bend with the will of the membership - do you fancy a Big Bang this summer, like we did last year? Perhaps you'd like to do something different, which you will specify in comments to this entry?

In the event of a Big Bang, I was thinking signups this month, writing in June, July and August, art in September, posting in October, min length 25k.

So, talk to me. :) What would you like to do?

I like how it sounds like I now have partial responsibility for the drabble-off you speak of (this is the new game; everyone else leave prompts and Taiyou fills them!). I'll keep my eyes open in June then.

Yeah, I mean... I both write and do art, but I don't think I've seen many fanart-related challenges floating around other than Big Bangs; general art challenges are usually more about practising character design, poses, visual storytelling etc. You could always do prompt lists to be filled within a limited period of time, but with the Bingo that might feel redundant... I'll get back to you if I can think of something else.

(Oh, I wouldn't mind, if I knew how a drabble-off would actually work. I'm the kind of person who gets plus points for enthusiasm and minus for organisation/lack thereof.)

I'd love a historical AU!art challenge all the costume porn, mmm but... yeah. Saying "draw this this month" is a bit underwhelming, unless you combine it with another prompt. Maybe something like theme + art style + prompt ("historical AU + art nouveau + shield", f ex)? And you could have a limited number of each to choose from... 8Ia

No, but at the same time, an art challenge is supposed to be a challenge. So I think there should be some sort of prompt(s); the interesting part is to see how many different interpretations artists come up with based on the same idea.
