Well, this is the WWII era uniform, correct? I'm sure Tony can design him some tighter pants, and I'm sure that's the second or third thing RDJ!Tony will say when he meets him for the first time. I can see Tony squinting at the wings and pulling at the suit and just generally being all over him, and Steve will be caught between "I am being mauled by a crazy man" and "who is this adorable geeky creature, I want to ruffle his hair".
This image is now my desktop at work. Scheduling snafus? Someone yelling about paperwork? I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of AMERICA. /blissful sigh
Yay! Although... *squints at shield* Why is the vibranium-steel alloy shield showing bullet dings? O.o It's not supposed to be capable of being dinged by bullets...
*seconds all the commentary re: loose costume* It's just NOT DONE to not have Cap's costume fitting like a second skin. I look forward to Tony's "technology improves EVERYTHING" attitude to fix that. XD
Highlight to read. The shield is one detail that actually makes me INCREDIBLY GLEEFUL, because it means that Tony might be the one to make the vibranium shield, since he made it in Iron Man 2. DANCE OF GLEE.
Possibly more spoilers here, and I can't highlight to save my life, so...
If that's what Tony made. LOL. Since it was never named and all.
I've just been having a debate about the shield in the IM movies, actually, on Facebook. Since that thing is in pieces, if it really does end up being the one shown in the pic above, I will be SO IRRITATED. From the rumours I've heard, Howard Stark may be the one to give Steve his shield... *shrug* (If anyone is interested, this picture came in handy for making the point that no, the shield in IM2 didn't actually come out of Howard's SHIELD box.)
And hey, here's a nifty pic I found when I was looking for the above: Cap and his shield in the Hulk, which makes me feel a little bit better, honestly. I'd be pretty irritated if the shield-in-multiple-pieces-in-the-Stark-lab was his original shield.
Ok, that was the picture I was thinking of. Gracias. I really hope they don't try to play it off as if Howard made that one (even though it's clearly in the first movie).

BUT SQUEE ANYWAY DAMN IT. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

D'awww. That's so cute.
I like the look of the new costume, though I do wish it were a little more streamlined. Seems kind of chunky here.

(I do agree that it seems kind of loose and billowy, particularly in the pants region.)

OTOH, wings! He's got the itty-bitty wings on his helmet!
The Avengers movie had better have a scene where RDJ's Tony mocks him for it.

Why yes, I am ashamed of myself for checking, why do you ask?

Re: WARNING: IRON MAN 2 SPOILERS
* The shield on Tony's desk from the first IM movie
* Coulson holding up the same shield that he picked up (from the box that the parts for Tony's unlicensed nuclear accelerator came out of).
