On our fourth day of rec week we’re asking you for all your favorite fanworks dealing with secret identities and above all identity porn. Because we’re dealing with the classic masked heroes here and we all know we love the trope! ;)

Summary:

Preserum Steve (I'm going with the comics version, thin/sickly/tall) meets pre-arc reactor Tony (I'm going with the movie version-I love puppydog brown eyes).

They don't quite admit falling in love with this other flawed person who just seems to fit so well... but they don't quite deny it.

When Iron Man and Captain America meet, they fight the attraction because HEY, I've GOT a boyfriend... but... I like you, too. Things get incredibly complicated, but it all works out in the end.

Rec: This is one of my absolute favorites! I simply adore the way that this story manages to give us double identity porn--Steve AND Tony--and the way that it fulfills both my love of pre-serum Steve AND my desire to see Captain America kicking super-heroic butt. The whole thing is stunningly beautiful and plays with fandom tropes so brilliantly. So go read it if you haven't already!
