Hey, it’s time for the [livejournal.com profile] cap_ironman/[community profile] cap_ironman newsletter again! Secret Santa sign-ups may be over, but if you missed the sign-up or wanted to participate without obligation, you can check out the list of free-for-all prompts. Fill a prompt and send it in, and it will be posted as part of the Secret Santa exchange.

For fans of the Ultimate line, starting in 2012 all Ultimate issues will be sold with a free digital copy for iOS and Android. I’m curious, does anyone here reads comics on those devices? Here’s an interesting article about Marvel’s partnership with Barnes & Noble NOOK and how Marvel and DC may drive down readership by forcing fans to choose between NOOK and Kindle.

It’s a little early for Christmas, but Marvel has a preview for a one-shot where Disney’s Prep and Landing elves get the Avengers mansion ready for Santa, which involves getting trapped in bits of Tony’s armor and sledding on Cap’s shield, apparently. There’s also a preview of Captain America #6, where Cap is getting his ass kicked by Bartoc.

And finally, Iron Man 3 is looking for extras for their shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Feel free to post any recs, interesting news items, or just chat with your fellow fans in the comment section to the newsletter!

Was there stuff posted this week? Yes, yes there was. )

Finally, if you're a new or recent member, hello and welcome! Our rules are here, and in the profile; this includes our warnings policy, so please read. If you're interested in the ship, you may want to read the Ship Manifesto, and consult the list of Slashy Moments. If you're planning to write for the comm, there are some tips on writing the pairing here, and the Avengers in general here; if you're having trouble finding a beta, or would like to offer your services as a beta, our beta list is here. If you're looking for the comm archive, it's Tales of Suspense, and it's automated - you can create an account and upload your fic.
