Summary: Or: Tony Might Have a Bigger Family Than He Thought. Tony's really not to blame on this one. Ultron wasn't his idea, wasn't made by him, he wasn't even in the room when Hank Pym first gave the killer robot life. Seriously, stop blaming him! Only a little bit of Steve/Tony, but totally still there.
Universe: Erm... Comic except that Jarvis is an AI?
Pairings: Steve/Tony, mentions of Hank/Jan and Ultron/His Brides (yeah that was supposed to be in a creepy voice)
Rating: General
Spoilers: I suppose some eclectic ones from the Comic about Ultron and Tony

Title: I don't want you (to smile to anybody)

Genre: PWP, angst/romance
Wordcount: 31542
Warnings: Pining, PWP. Slight RPF moment.
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mizzy2k

Summary: Tony Stark doesn’t do commitment. So Steve finds it weird – but not impossible – to deal with Tony suddenly bringing home dates that look like him. Until one of Tony’s one-night-stands, who could be a double for Steve, turns out to be not quite as disposable as the rest of Tony’s conquests – and Steve’s repressed crush on Tony starts to become problematic...

Warnings: discussions of suicide and PTSD, but nothing explicit, MAJOR spoilers for the movie

Title: A Comforting Presence
Pairing: Steve/Tony, gen
Author: [livejournal.com profile] ms_notebook
Summary: It starts with Clint, and then from there, every time an Avenger gets hurt on a mission, they seem to show up at Steve’s doorstep. Eventually he stops bothering to lock it (though Tony breaking in to his apartment every morning might also have something to do with that.) Or, a series of non-linear flashbacks and events, illustrating how Steve went from being very alone in the 21st century to having five (maybe even more) roommates (family) and why Tony decided to build the Avengers mansion.
Word Count for this Chapter: about 11 000

Notes: Romance between Steve and Tony is very gradual but is a focus among the relationships explored.

I'm new to this fandom and I've been mainlining fic like crazy. Unfortunately, that means that I missed bookmarking one that I now want to go back to and I don't remember how I got to it.

I'm fairly sure that it was on AO3.

Steve was out grocery shopping - including picking up some unusual tea from a tea shop for Bruce - and he happens upon a gay marriage demonstration while he's trying to figure out his new phone. A young guy notices his confusion about his phone and offers to help him; there follows a very funny scene of the guy practically humping Steve's new Stark Phone, since it hasn't been released to the public yet. Tony, having tracked Steve down (through a Google alert? I'm less certain of that), comes to the rescue. Steve complains that Tony sneaks into his room and upgrades his phone when he's not looking just to annoy him.

The guy "humping Steve's phone" cottons on to the fact that this is Captain America and suggests that Steve probably doesn't want to be photographed in the midst of a gay marriage demonstration. Steve takes great offense to this and joins the demonstration officially, as does Tony.

The fic was inspired by a quote from Chris Evans on how embarrassing it is for the country to have not universally accepted gay marriage equality.

Thanks - and if there's a fic finders comm I should direct this to, please let me know.

ETA: FOUND!! by multiple people - it's "Phil Coulson is Not the Avengers' Public Relations Manager" by scifigrl47 - thanks, everybody! This is a part of a very funny series called "Phil Coulson's Case Files of the Toaster 'Verse. Both this series and the related Toaster 'Verse are a sure cure for depression.
