Title: Circumnavigation.
Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] taiyou_to_tsuki
Universe: Marvel 616 was at the back of my mind, but it's not continuity-bound.
Rating: PG-13.
Warnings: None.
Summary: Steve has slipped into his life much in the same way the seasons change; slowly and naturally, imperceptible at first.

A/N:1115 words, written for the "Writing format: Five Things" slot on my bingo table. Ended up experimenting with quite a different format overall (yes, the last sentences are supposed to do that).

There are also more than one kind of thing that comes in fives, so to speak.

Hello and welcome to the weekly [livejournal.com profile] cap_ironman/[community profile] cap_ironman newsletter.

You guys have been angels all week, so I will not point out rules reminders, and instead remind you that we have a Cap/Iron Man holiday gift exchange every year. I expect that Sign ups will open late October/early November, and will probably look something like they did last year. If that's the kind of thing you're into.

If you can't possibly wait that long, want to sign up for all the exchanges on the Internet, or want non-Steve/Tony pairings, maybe check out [livejournal.com profile] avengers_xchng, they have sign ups open through 14 October.

Marvel's The Avengers/Marvel's Avengers Assemble is out on DVD and Blue Ray! And there was much rejoicing.

In other movie news, Cap 2 is already setting up for production in March. They've booked shooting in Cleveland, Ohio, and Washington, D.C.. CBM also has some new behind the scenes shots of filming The Avengers, including new things about Clint, Steve and Tony together, and a gorgeous picture of Natasha smiling.

This in from Stan Lee: "In an effort to be more like my fellow Avenger, Tony Stark, I have had an electronic pace-maker placed near my heart to insure that I’ll be able to lead thee for another 90 years."

CBR has an interview with Rick Remender and Axel Alonso, about Marvel Now! with quite a bit about the new Captain America run and some preview art from Uncanny Avengers (also staring Cap). Newsarama also has Marvel Now! variant covers for your viewing pleasure.

Lots of Steve and Tony in comics review this week. Part Fifteen of Marvel.com's recap of Iron Man canon is up, and Newsarama has, in tribute to Ult Cap, ten times superheroes held public office (including 616 Steve and Tony). Finally, there are not one but three recaps of some of Cap's more... dubious arcs: 1. That Time Cap Was Obsessed With Nick Fury “Wanting” Him!, 2. So Cap is Now Drug-Free…Or Is He? and 3. The Heroes Reborn Reboot. (Oh, the '90s, though I will admit to having a certain fondness for Cap Vol 2).

Right, enough of that silliness! On with the round up! )

Finally, if you're a new or recent member, hello and welcome! Our rules are here, and in the profile; this includes our header and warnings policies, so please read. If you're interested in the ship, you may want to read the Ship Manifesto, and consult the list of Slashy Moments (Now at one hundred and eighty moments). If you're confused by the whole universe thing, check out the multiverse info post. If you're planning to write for the comm, there are some tips on writing the pairing here, and the Avengers in general here; if you're having trouble finding a beta, or would like to offer your services as a beta, our beta list is here. If you're looking for the comm archive, it's Tales of Suspense, and it's automated - you can create an account and upload your fic. If you're looking for a particular story, why not try [livejournal.com profile] cap_im_finders? If you have any questions, you can comment here or PM a mod, that's me, [personal profile] garrideb and [personal profile] valtyr.

And feel free to post on-topic or off-topic stuff in the comments to this post! Just keep it reasonably safe for work, please.
