Summary: Steve has slipped into his life much in the same way the seasons change; slowly and naturally, imperceptible at first.

A/N:1115 words, written for the "Writing format: Five Things" slot on my bingo table. Ended up experimenting with quite a different format overall (yes, the last sentences are supposed to do that).

There are also more than one kind of thing that comes in fives, so to speak.

Fic Summary: When World War II finally catches up to the United States, Tony has to fight the military, his friends, and his own feelings in order to keep a promise he made to himself: Take care of Steve.
Author's Notes: I owe more thanks than I can possibly express to Inoshi for her wonderful beta job, especially at short notice. She kept me very much on the right path for characterization and story flow. This story is a direct (noir-side) sequel to Indelible and I've been assured that it makes much more sense if you read that story first.
