So, here is another Canon thoughts/question type of post. It is a short one, but I figured it might interest people. It was brought to mind by a Steve music video I watched recently. In it was the scene from the Avengers where Steve gets hit by one of the blaster/lazer guns. Since it was cut to just show when he got hit and not the recovery, it really brought to mind how much damage that would have done to a normal human. The force was enough to lift his body out from under him, off the ground so that he fell face first, hard.

Remember that the Big Bang beta post is up. We have both authors and betas looking for a match, so even if you've already left a request, swing back by and peruse the new comments.

We're now at the halfway point for the writing phase. The schedule is:

August, September: Writers write.
September 29th: Drafts and summaries due
October 1st: Summaries posted for artists to claim.
October: Artists art, writers put finishing touches on their fics.
October 30th: Artist and author teams pick posting date in November.
November 1st: Fics and art begin posting.

Marvel's Infinity event kicks off this week.

The Captain America: Living Legend miniseries is due in October. Originally called "Astonishing Captain America", it was announced back in 2010. Have an interview with writer Andy Diggle, and one with artist Adi Granov. (cover 1, cover 2)

Iron Metropolitan will be the new Iron Man arc coming in November. Writer Gillen says, “[Tony's] a man with a new dream he wants to share with the world. He's a man who's just had his entire conception of himself overturned. He's trying to deal with that in the best Tony Stark fashion: by ignoring it, and channeling that energy into something else. It's either that or open a bottle."

Apparently the end of Romita's run on Captain America coincides with his Marvel contract expiring...

There's a new plot summary thingy for CA2 that could Joss just a few post-Avengers fics. (Did you catch it?)

IM3 comes out soon on disc. (Sources vary between a late August and September release date. Anybody know for sure?) Have a deleted scene and featurette while you wait.
