This piece is based on winterstar's wonderful Firefly inspired AU Cap/Iron Man story, The Captain and His Courtesan. I know some people don't like to read stories until they're completed but Winter always finishes what she starts. Believe me, it's well worth taking a chance on. I hope that you guys like how it turned out!

Title: The Captain and His Courtesan
Artist: Digitalwave
Fandom: Avengers (Firefly Inspired AU)
Character: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Contains only general spoilers for the story
Summary: What happens when accepting a simple commission puts his entire crew in jeopardy and could end up changing all of humanity? Captain Steve Rogers is about to find out because this Courtesan is not just another pretty face. The Captain of the Honor Guard could fall in love far too easily with a man of conviction - and Tony Stark is a man of conviction.

Summary:

Immediately upon his transformation into a super soldier, Steve Rogers has an embarrassing reaction. In his pants. Howard explains that he has to take note of his... involuntary release... and reassures Steve that no one of any import will ever read his journal. It's only for people working directly on super soldier research, or someone who gets the clearance to read Howard's personal notes long after he's dead.

Good thing Steve never runs into anyone who meets those qualifications...

A/N: Based on this post where several different users discuss Steve Rogers’ expression first coming out of the super soldier machine.
